In the 17th year of the Qing Daoguang era, a sculpture was created in Xiamen, which is enshrined in the Ksitigarbha Temple located in the west of the village. It is dedicated to foreign officials who came to serve in Penghu as a material embodiment. Later, the deity displayed great spiritual power, leading the disciples of the village to select this site to build a temple.

Hailing Temple Introduction

Main deity worshiped: Su Fu Wang Ye Festival date: April 21 of the lunar calendar In the 17th year of the Daoguang reign, a statue was sculpted in Xiamen and enshrined in the local Jizo Hall in the west, serving as a protector for foreign officials stationed in Penghu. After the deity's divine powers were revealed, the disciples of the community chose this location to build a temple. In the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign, when the wife of Commissioner Cheng Haifang fell ill, she heard of the divine intervention of Wang Ye, prayed for a remedy, and was blessed with a good prescription for recovery, thus presenting a plaque in gratitude. The temple was established in the same year.
