Xindian River Riverside Cycling Path Introduction

The bicycle path built along the Yanping Riverside Park from the Dadaocheng Wharf allows visitors to enjoy cycling while also visiting nearby cultural heritage sites. This recreational activity offers both physical exercise and an immersion in cultural experiences. Prominent cultural attractions nearby include Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum, Taipei Confucius Temple towards Jiuquan Street, and Bao'an Temple, providing a cultural feast to experience. The scenic views along the way feature the Dadaocheng Wharf Coffee Plaza, Tangshan sailboat landscaping, wharf arch bridges, and distant vistas of the Tamsui River. The route connects to the Blue Highway, where cyclists can continue to Guandu Wharf, even reaching Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and the Bali Left Bank, enjoying various riverside recreational activities. After crossing Huajiang Bridge, the bicycle path enters the banks of the Xindian River. Several bridges across the Xindian River lead you to the bicycle paths along the Dahan River. Surrounded by numerous buildings, this riverside park's value is further highlighted. The scenery along the Xindian River and Dahan River offers a sense of "green space in the city." This long stretch of riverside park traverses Yingge, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhonghe, and Xindian. From October to March each year, visitors can also admire migratory ducks and protected avian guests, combining fun with fitness, dining, and entertainment, making the whole day of cycling activities fulfilling and enriching.
