Xindian River Riverside Cycling Path Introduction

This bike path, built along the Yanping Riverside Park starting from Dadaocheng Wharf, allows visitors to explore adjacent cultural heritage sites while enjoying a blend of leisurely activities. It offers both fitness and an immersion in cultural experiences. Nearby famous cultural and tourist attractions include Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Lin Liu-hsin Puppet Theatre Museum, Taipei Confucius Temple towards Jiuchuan Street, and Bao'an Temple, providing a feast of culture to experience. Scenic views along the way include Dadaocheng Wharf Coffee Plaza, Tangshan sailboat scenery, wharf arch bridge, and distant views of the Tamsui River. The route also integrates the Blue Highway, allowing cyclists to progress to Guandu Wharf and even to Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and the banks of Bali, enjoying various riverside recreational activities. After the Huajiang Bridge, the bike path enters the banks of the Xindian River, where several bridges spanning the river lead you to the bike path along the Dahan River. The towering buildings surrounding this riverside park highlight its value, as the scenery along the banks of the Xindian and Dahan Rivers is filled with the feeling of "green spaces in the city." This long stretch of riverside park traverses Yingge, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhongyonghe, and Xindian. From October to March of the following year, rare migratory ducks and conservation birds can be admired, combining entertainment, fitness, and culinary delights to enrich a full day of cycling activities.
