Xindian River Riverside Bikeway Introduction

This bicycle path, constructed along the Yanping Riverside Park from Dadaocheng Wharf, allows visitors to explore nearby cultural heritage sites while enjoying leisure activities that promote both physical health and cultural immersion. Notable cultural attractions in the vicinity include Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Lin Liu-hsin Puppet Theatre Museum, Taipei Confucius Temple towards Jiuchuan Street, along with Bao’an Temple, offering a cultural feast experience. Scenic views along the route feature Dadaocheng Wharf Coffee Square, Tangshan sailing landscape, wharf arch bridge, and vistas of the Tamsui River. Integrating the Blue Highway shipping route, cyclists can travel to Guandu Wharf and even Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and Bali's left bank, enjoying a variety of riverside recreational activities. After Huajiang Bridge, this bicycle path enters the banks of Xindian River, with several bridges crossing the river leading you to the bicycle paths along Dahan River. The surrounding buildings highlight the value of this riverside park, and the scenery of Xindian River and Dahan River exudes the feel of "green spaces in the city." This long stretch of riverside park traverses Yingge, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhongyonghe, and Xindian, where from October to March of the following year, visitors can also enjoy migratory ducks and protected bird species, combining entertainment, fitness, and culinary delights, making a day of cycling activities fulfilling and rich.
