Bao Fu Temple Introduction
Yonghe Baofu Temple primarily honors Baosheng Dadi and has a history of two hundred years since being established as a branch of Dalongdong Baoan Temple. It is a sacred place for the worshippers in the Shuanghe area to pray for peace, blessings, and spiritual tranquility. It was rebuilt in 2011, featuring traditional cantilevered roof architecture. The floral patterns on the roof, the wooden carvings of the caisson, the stone carvings on the dragon pillars, and the paintings on the temple walls are all vivid and finely crafted, showcasing rich cultural and artistic value. The early immigrants in Yonghe were mostly from Quanzhou, and they held Baosheng Dadi in high regard. At that time, residents had to walk to Dalongdong Baoan Temple in Taipei City to worship Baosheng Dadi, which was not only a long journey but also challenging due to the absence of bridges, requiring them to wade through water. Consequently, the residents of Yonghe pooled resources to fund the construction of the temple and thus transferred the deity Baosheng Dadi to Yonghe Baofu Temple.
