Hua Central Riverside Park Introduction

From an aerial view, the Xindian River bends at Huazhong Riverside Park, forming a vast floodplain. The winding terrain resembles a crescent moon, or even a boomerang, with wide, flat green grasslands perfectly suited for large events. This place is also ideal for watching sunsets and birdwatching: the park boasts rich ecology, with fish schooling in the river and wild birds hopping among the trees. There are various children's play facilities in the park, thoughtfully covered with fine sand for safety, and seating is provided nearby for parents to rest while ensuring their children's safety during activities, thus enhancing parent-child interaction. Since 2009, the city government has established the Huazhong Camping Area here, offering tent and car camping sites for public reservation, making it the first large riverside camping site in Taiwan. When you ride a bicycle through the riverside park, passing under the Huazhong Bridge, there are stands set up as rest points for cyclists, featuring diverse offerings such as Taiwanese snacks and children's toys. Adjacent to this is a bicycle practice area, providing varying levels of riding practice for children and general public to enjoy a safe and comfortable environment. There are explanatory signs around to help understand basic bicycle knowledge and proper riding methods. It is recommended to read the explanatory signs and the essential riding information provided on this page before happily and safely practicing and cycling along the waterfront. After resting, continuing downstream will take you through a shaded tunnel where many people dance and exercise in the morning, filled with vitality. Visiting this place doesn’t necessarily require cycling, as there are various sports facilities, such as basketball courts for friendly matches and beach volleyball courts where you can enjoy the sun and sand in the city. Whether strolling along the top of the dike in the morning or evening, under the shade of greenery or the gentle starlight, with a breeze washing over you while gazing at the green pastures below, each visit offers a different experience. Additionally, there are spacious parking lots at the entrances of Huazhong Gate No. 1 and No. 2, helping to alleviate urban parking issues. Huazhong Riverside Park connects to Matsugang Memorial Park and Youth Park, making it an excellent choice for couples. There are many food options available near Youth Park as well.
