Huazhong Riverside Park Introduction

Looking from above, the Xindian River bends here at Huazhong Riverside Park, forming a large floodplain. The winding terrain resembles a crescent moon, or even a boomerang, with vast flat green grasslands that are perfect for large events. This is also the best place to watch the sunset and enjoy birdwatching: the park is ecologically rich, with fish swimming in the river looking for food, and wild birds hopping among the trees. The park features various children's play equipment, with fine sand laid down for safety, and provides nearby seating for parents to rest while keeping an eye on their children, enhancing parent-child interaction. Since 2009, the city government has established the Huazhong Camping Ground here, offering tent and car camping sites for public applications, being the first large riverside camping site in Taiwan. When you ride your bicycle through Huazhong Bridge in the riverside park, there are park stalls set up as rest points for cyclists, with diverse food options including Taiwanese snacks and toys. Nearby, there's also a bicycle practice area providing different skill levels for riding practice, ensuring a safe and comfortable venue for less skilled children or the general public. Informational signs are available around the area to help visitors understand basic bicycle knowledge and proper riding techniques. It is recommended to first browse the explanatory signs and the basic cycling information provided on this page to practice and ride along the waterfront joyfully and safely. After resting, continuing downstream will take you through a shaded tunnel where many people dance and exercise in the morning, creating an energetic atmosphere. Visiting this place does not necessarily require biking; there are various sports fields such as basketball courts for friendly competitions, and beach volleyball courts allowing you to sweat under the sun and sand even in the city. Whether strolling along the top of the embankment path in the early morning or at night, enjoying the shade or the gentle starlight breeze while gazing at the green grass below, each moment offers a different charm. The entrances at Gate 1 and Gate 2 of Huazhong Riverside Park also come with spacious parking lots, alleviating parking issues in the city. The nearby Huazhong Riverside Park connects to Matsu Township Memorial Park and Youth Park, making it an excellent choice for couples on dates, with plenty of dining options available near Youth Park.
