Huazhong Riverside Park Introduction

From an aerial perspective, the Xindian River bends here at Huachung Riverside Park, forming a large floodplain. The winding terrain resembles a crescent moon and looks like a boomerang. Vast flat green grasslands make it the perfect venue for large events. This area is also an ideal spot for sunset viewing and birdwatching: the park is rich in ecology, with fish swimming in the river looking for food and wild birds jumping between the trees. The park features a variety of children's playground equipment, which is padded with fine sand for safety. Seating is available around the facilities for parents to relax while ensuring their children are safe during activities, promoting parent-child bonding. Since 2009, the city government has established the Huachung Camping Ground here, providing tent and car camping spots for public reservation, making it the first large riverside camping site in Taiwan. When you cycle through Huachung Riverside Park and pass under the Huachung Bridge, you will find vendors set up as a resting point for cyclists. The park has a diverse range of stalls offering local Taiwanese snacks and children's toys, and there is also a bicycle practice area nearby that offers training for various skill levels, providing a safe and comfortable environment for children and the general public to practice. Relevant informational signs are installed in the area to help visitors learn basic bicycle knowledge and proper riding techniques. It is recommended to browse the explanation signs and the basic riding guidelines provided on this page before happily and safely practicing and exploring the riverside on a bicycle. After a rest, heading downstream you will pass through a tree-shaded tunnel, where many people dance and exercise in the mornings, filling the area with vitality. Visiting this place does not require cycling; there are also various sports facilities such as basketball courts, allowing friends to have friendly matches, and beach volleyball courts where you can sweat it out under the sun and sand even in the city. Whether strolling along the embankment path in the morning or at night, under the green shade or in the soft starlight with a gentle breeze, the experience is uniquely refreshing. Additionally, at the entrances of Gate 1 and Gate 2 of Huachung, there are spacious parking lots to alleviate urban parking issues. Huachung Riverside Park is connected to Macha Town Memorial Park and Youth Park, making it an excellent choice for couples to go on dates, with many food options available near Youth Park.
