Heping Green Grass Garden, No. 402 Wanhua Park Introduction
Park No. 402 is located at the intersection of Mengjia Avenue and Xiyuan Road, covering an area of 4,693 square meters and slightly shaped like a triangle. The park was originally the site of the Renji Rehabilitation Institute and residential buildings. The surrounding environment was poor, not only affecting the quality of life for residents but also the urban landscape, thus the city government promoted urban renewal in Wanhua to build the park. In addition to preserving existing healthy trees and vegetation, simple greening methods were employed to improve the surrounding environment and provide green lawn space for public use. The park was officially opened on November 13, 2006. Inside the park, there is a fragrance and herb garden facility adjacent to Xiyuan Road. Along the path surrounding the park bordering Mengjia Avenue and historical buildings, there are benches and an activity plaza of approximately 256 square meters. Shrubs such as Blue Butterfly and Sweet Osmanthus are planted between the plaza and the building corridors. Additionally, there is a large lawn area and various trees such as Banyan, Sabal Palm, Parrotia, Camphor, and Coconut Palm. The shaded trees in the park have become the best place for local residents to relax, chat, and connect with each other.
