Peace Green Park Introduction
Park No. 402 is located at the intersection of Mengjia Avenue and Xiyuan Road, covering an area of 4,693 square meters and having a slightly triangular shape. The park site was originally the location of the Renji Sanatorium, residential buildings, and other structures. The surrounding environment was in poor condition, affecting both the quality of living and the urban landscape. Therefore, the city government promoted urban renewal in Wanhua to establish the park. In addition to retaining existing well-growing trees and other vegetation, the park utilized simple greening methods to improve the surrounding environment and provide lawn space for public use. The park's grand opening ceremony was completed on November 13, 2006. Within the park, there are facilities for incense and herb gardens located on the side by Xiyuan Road. Along the park roads bordering Mengjia Avenue, seating and an approximately 256 square meter activity square have been set up between historical buildings. Shrubs such as blue butterfly and sweet osmanthus are planted to connect the square and building corridors. Additionally, there is a vast grassy area with trees like banyan, coconut, persimmon, camphor, and areca palm, making the shaded area in the park an ideal place for local residents to relax, chat, and develop social ties.
