Peace Green Park Introduction
Park No. 402 is located at the intersection of Mengjia Avenue and Xiyuan Road, covering an area of 4,693 square meters, and has a slightly triangular shape. The park was originally the site of the Renji Nursing Home and private residences. Due to the poor living conditions and its negative impact on the urban landscape in the surrounding area, the city government initiated an urban renewal project in Wanhua to establish the park. In addition to preserving the well-growing trees and plants, the park was designed to improve the surrounding environment with simple green beautification methods, providing a grass lawn for public use. The park officially opened on November 13, 2006. Within the park, there are facilities for a fragrance and herb garden on the side near Xiyuan Road, and along the pathways adjacent to Mengjia Avenue leading to historical buildings, there are seating areas and an activity plaza of approximately 256 square meters. The corridors connecting the plaza and the buildings are planted with blue butterfly bushes and osmanthus shrubs. The park features a large lawn area and tall trees including banyan, fans palm, Chinese parasol, camphor, and coconut trees, making it a shaded retreat for nearby residents to relax and socialize.
