Peace Green Park Introduction
Park No. 402 is located at the intersection of Mengjia Avenue and Xiyuan Road, covering an area of 4,693 square meters, shaped slightly like a triangle. The park site was originally the location of the Renji Sanatorium and residential buildings. The surrounding environment was dilapidated, resulting in poor living quality and an adverse impact on urban scenery. Therefore, the city government promoted urban renewal in Wanhua to establish the park. Besides preserving the existing well-growing trees and plants, simple green beautification methods were adopted to improve the surrounding environment and provide grassy areas for public use. The park was officially opened on November 13, 2006. Within the park, there are facilities for incense and herb gardens on the side near Xiyuan Road, as well as benches along Mengjia Avenue and a historical building corridor leading to an activity square of approximately 256 square meters. Shrubs like blue butterfly and osmanthus are planted between the square and the corridor, along with a wide grassy area and trees such as banyan, talipot palm, parasol tree, camphor tree, and coconut palm. The shaded trees in the park have become the best place for local residents to relax, chat, and bond.
