Xichang Street Night Market Introduction

The 2010 film "Monga" was shot in many locations around Longshan Temple, Qingcao Lane, and the Bopi Liao area, which subsequently spurred a tourism boom in the vicinity. The Xichang Street Night Market is located right next to Longshan Temple. In the past, commercial activities were frequent here, but in recent years the city government has re-planned the stalls, concentrating vendors in the middle of the road. Vendors near Guangzhou Street mainly sell clothing and general merchandise, while food stalls are concentrated on Xichang Street near Guilin Road. Famous snacks in the area include douhua (tofu pudding), herbal tea, oil rice, and potstickers. If you visit Longshan Temple to pray for blessings, be sure to take a stroll down Xichang Street! Xichang Qingcao Lane is located on Xichang Street in Lane 224, adjacent to the Xichang Street Night Market. It is a famous herbal lane where a strong herbal scent hits you as soon as you step in. The lane has several stores specializing in herbs, selling a variety of fresh green medicinal plants, as well as dried leaves that can be brewed at home. There are also homemade herbal drinks for sale on-site, such as herbal tea, bitter tea, and hibiscus tea. It’s a nice experience to walk through this quaint alley and enjoy a cup of rich herbal tea!
