Monga Fashion District Introduction
When visiting Wanhua, the Dihua Street Wanhua Clothing District, located behind Longshan Market and known throughout Taiwan, is a must-visit street for ready-to-wear clothing. This area serves as a base for wholesalers from all over, dealing in various types of clothing. The origin of the Wanhua Clothing District can be traced back to the early development of Wanhua combined with the convenient transportation and trade facilitated by the nearby Wanhua Railway Station, resulting in a large clothing market. Originally, there were nearly 2,000 clothing stores of all kinds in this area, providing an integrated service from design, pattern making, production, to marketing, competitive in both quality and price. However, due to the changes over time, the clothing district now has about 400 stores remaining, with a majority focusing on mature women’s apparel, making up around 80% of all shops. The remaining 20% consists of children’s clothing and custom group wear, while men's clothing has been increasingly scarce, often combined with group wear, exhibiting a noticeable difference from Wu Fen Pu, which caters mainly to young women with a vibrant style. On weekdays, this area is bustling with trucks for restocking and delivery, along with wholesalers’ vehicles. Some customers even come specifically to search for treasures among the vast array of clothing and accessories, making for a dazzling experience.
