Monga Fashion District Introduction

In Wanhua, a visit to the famous Dali Street clothing district behind Longshan Commercial Center is a must for ready-to-wear shopping. This area serves as a hub for wholesalers from various regions to purchase all kinds of apparel. The emergence of the Mengjia clothing district can be attributed to the early development of Mengjia and the convenient transportation provided by Wanhua Railway Station, making it a significant garment marketplace. In its early days, there were nearly 2,000 clothing stores here, operating in a complete cycle from design, sampling, production, to marketing, with both quality and prices being highly competitive. However, due to changing times, the clothing district now has about 400 remaining shops, with the majority—around 80%—dedicated to women's fashion, while children's clothing accounts for another 10%, alongside some custom group apparel. Men's clothing has significantly decreased in presence and is often combined with group attire, contrasting sharply with Wu Fen Pu, which caters to a younger female demographic and a more vibrant style. On weekdays, the streets are bustling with trucks restocking and delivering goods, along with wholesalers' vehicles. There are also customers who visit specifically to hunt for treasures, as the variety of clothing and accessories can be overwhelming.
