Dihua Sports Park Pier Landscape Platform Introduction
Dihua Sports Park's跨堤景觀平臺 has an area of 2,796 square meters and can accommodate 3,000 people, making it the second scenic platform in Taipei City. The scenic platform extends across Huanhe North Road to the outer embankment, offering excellent views where visitors can enjoy the scenery of the Tamsui River and watch fireworks at Dadaocheng Wharf. Additionally, the platform includes amenities such as family-friendly water play facilities and an activity stage area. Ingeniously, the ground of the跨堤景觀平臺 features the three early streets of Taipei: Dadaocheng, Bangka, and Taipei City. At the entrance stands a memorial stone engraved with "Meteorological Reform," seemingly witnessing the future of Taipei City through sea, land, and air. The main structure of the platform is constructed with RC columns and steel framework, and the railing is composed of steel and reinforced glass. The overall architecture is primarily white, with an arched steel cable suspended over the platform and nighttime lighting, which is expected to become a new iconic entryway for the western district of Taipei City.
