Dihua Sports Park Flood-Control Landscape Platform (Temporarily Closed) Introduction
The project officially commenced on November 10, 2025, and is expected to be completed by September 2026. During the construction period, certain areas will be closed off. The Dihua Sports Park Overpass Scenic Platform covers an area of 2,796 square meters and can accommodate 3,000 people, making it the second scenic platform in Taipei City. The scenic platform extends across Huanhe North Road to the riverbank, offering an excellent view from which visitors can enjoy the scenery of the Tamsui River as well as the fireworks show at Dadaocheng Wharf. Additionally, the platform includes features such as parent-child activity water play facilities and an event stage area. Cleverly designed within the overpass scenic platform are the names of Taipei's three early districts: Dadaocheng, Bangka, and Taipei City. At the entrance, a commemorative stone is engraved with "Meteorological Reform," seemingly witnessing the foresight of Taipei City’s future through land, sea, and air. The main structure of the platform is constructed with reinforced concrete columns and a steel frame, while the railings are made of steel and reinforced glass. The overall color scheme of the building is based on white, with a suspended arch steel cable across the platform and night lighting installed, which is expected to become a new symbolic entrance to the western area of Taipei City.
