Sanhe Night Market Introduction

Sanhe Night Market, originally named Central Night Market, is located near Taipei Bridge MRT Station. Compared to other tourist night markets like Shilin and Shida, it has a more "local flavor." The night market houses many popular old shops that have been favorite spots for locals for over thirty years. During the day, it operates as the San Chong Central Public Retail Market, but at night, it transforms into the liveliest place in San Chong, bustling with vendors selling hair accessories, shoewear, and snacks. The scene is quite large and filled with the authentic night market atmosphere of people and vehicles, along with the sounds of vendors calling out to customers. In terms of food, there are many classic stalls that have been around for over 30 years. Famous items include A-Wen Wonton with savory dumplings, Wanli Meatballs, Oyster Omelette, and Papaya Milk, all beloved classic tastes for locals since childhood. The prices here are also more affordable compared to Taipei across the bridge, making it a great spot for food enthusiasts to explore. The most famous wonton soup is made from pork bones, simmered to create a rich broth, garnished with chopped celery and shallots, with a meticulous filling that bursts with flavor, just right with one bite.
