Sanhe Night Market, originally named Central Night Market, is located near Taipei Bridge Station on the Taipei Metro. The market is home to many popular old shops that have been around for over thirty years, and during the day, it serves as the San Chong Central Public Retail Market. At night, it transforms into the liveliest place in San Chong, bustling with hair accessories, gadgets, shoes, socks, and various food stalls. The lively scene of people and vehicles, along with the vendors' calls, creates a large-scale atmosphere filled with authentic night market vibes. In terms of food, there are many longstanding establishments with over 30 years of history. Classic flavors that locals grew up with include A-Wen Wonton with salty dumplings, Wan Li Meat Balls, Oyster Omelet, and Papaya Milk. The prices here are more affordable compared to Taipei City just across the bridge, making it a perfect spot for food enthusiasts. The most famous wonton soup is made from boiled pork bones, with the addition of minced celery and shallots, resulting in a rich broth.
