MAJI Food and Play - Yuanshan Flower Expo Pavilion Introduction
"MAJI2 Urban Village" is located near the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, tucked away in a corner of the Taipei Expo Park Yuanshan area, and officially opened in June 2013. It was meticulously planned by singer Harlem Yu and renowned designer Yeh Yu-Ching. Utilizing shipping containers and wooden barns within nature, it cleverly encapsulates elements of food, original products, music, and art to create a space with an exotic atmosphere: an urban playground. MAJI2 consists of six main areas: the Shennong Market, International Snack Street, Creative Market, International Cuisine Restaurants, Specialty Shop Street, and a Multifunctional Exhibition Space. The Shennong Market is a place for food lovers and home cooks, gathering delicious, safe, natural, and toxin-free ingredients all in one location. It carefully selects products from exquisite small farmers across the country, and many of these products are awarded the Shennong Medal by the Ministry of Agriculture, along with high-quality small-brand sauces that are rarely found in regular supermarkets. It also introduces traditional ingredients from the Nanmen Market and features home-style cooked dishes that cater to Chinese tastes, allowing customers to take them home directly. The International Snack Street is arranged in a container layout with retro tables and chairs, creating a unique dining space. Whether it's Taiwanese snacks or a fusion of Eastern and Western cuisines, they can all be found on this international snack street. The Creative Market gathers handmade leather bags, original clothing, unique accessories, and various lifestyle design items, providing an abundance of surprises to discover everywhere you look.
