Nanmendong 323 Introduction
Next to the lotus pond in Taipei Botanical Garden, it was built in the early Showa period during Japanese rule (1930s) and originally served as a teahouse, located at "No. 323, Section 6, Nanmen Town, Taipei City, Taipei Prefecture." It was later named "Nanmen Town 323." Due to years of neglect and gradual decay, it has recently been restored to its former Japanese architectural appearance with the assistance of renowned architect Kuo Chung-Tuan and Professor Kenji Horikomi. A Japanese dry landscape garden was designed by Mr. Motoichiro Oguchi from Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
