Nanmen 323 Introduction

Located by the lotus pond at Taipei Botanical Garden, it was built in the early Showa period (1930s) during Japanese rule and originally served as a tea house. Its original address was "No. 323, Section 6, Nanjing Road, Taipei City, Taipei Prefecture", and it later became known as "Nanjing Road No. 323". Due to years of neglect, it gradually fell into disrepair. In recent years, with the assistance of the renowned architect Kuo Chung-Tuan and Professor Kenji Horigome, its original Japanese architectural style has been restored, and a Japanese rock garden was designed by Mr. Motoharu Oguchi from Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
