Nanjingtown 323 Introduction
Located by the lotus pond in Taipei Botanical Garden, it was built in the early Showa period (1930s) during the Japanese occupation. Originally a teahouse, the address was "No. 323, Section 6, Nanmen Road, Taipei City, Taipei Prefecture," and it was later named "Nanmen Town 323." Due to years of neglect, it fell into disrepair, but in recent years, with the assistance of renowned architect Kuo Chung-tan and Professor Kenji Horigome, the old Japanese architectural style has been restored. The Japanese rock garden was designed by Mr. Motoharu Oguchi from Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
