Nanmen Town 323 Introduction

Located by the lotus pond in Taipei Botanical Garden, it was built in the early Showa period (1930s) during the Japanese occupation. Originally a tea house, the original address was "No. 323, Section 6, Nanjin Road, Taipei City, Taihoku Prefecture", and it was later named "Nanjin Road 323". Due to years of neglect, it gradually fell into disrepair. In recent years, with the assistance of renowned architect Kuo Chung-Tuan and Professor Kenji Horikomi, it was restored to its original Japanese architectural style, and a Japanese Zen garden was designed by garden designer Motoharu Oguchi from Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
