Lehua Park Introduction
Donghu Leisure Park is located next to Kangle Street and Lane 61, Kangle Street, along the northern bank of Neigou River. It was first established as a parking lot by the Public Works Department in 2003 and transformed into a park in 2010, officially opening in March 2011. The park covers an area of approximately 1 hectare and features lush greenery, making it an ideal urban park for families to relax on weekends or in the afternoon. Adjacent to residential areas, Donghu Leisure Park is near Donghu Junior High School and Donghu Elementary School, and it's about a 10-minute walk from Donghu MRT Station, providing very convenient transportation options accessible by both MRT and bus. The green space next to the three large characters "Neigou River" on Kangle Street at the end of Donghu Road is Donghu Leisure Park, which is closely linked to the Neigou River Cherry Blossom Path cultivated and managed by the village chief and residents. Currently, over a hundred cherry blossom trees, including Prunus subhirtella and Wushe cherry, bloom sequentially from February to March. Since 2014, the park has attracted large crowds during cherry blossom season, becoming a hot spot on the internet, often referred to as a hidden paradise in the urban jungle. Within the park, there are facilities catering to community activities and green landscapes, including a children's playground for climbing and play, resting pavilions for local residents to gather and chat, fitness equipment for leisure and relaxation, as well as open spaces for various activities. The winding paths allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding greenery. (Source: Taipei City Government Public Works Department Park and Street Lighting Engineering Management Office)
