Lohas Park Introduction

Donghu Liveliness Park is located adjacent to Kangle Street and Lane 61 of Kangle Street, on the north bank of Neigou Creek. Established as a parking lot in 2003 by the Public Works Department, it was transformed into a park in 2010 and officially opened in March 2011. The park covers an area of approximately 1 hectare and features lush greenery, making it an ideal urban park for families to relax during weekends or afternoons. Situated next to residential areas, the park is in close proximity to Donghu Junior High School and Donghu Elementary School, and is about a 10-minute walk from Donghu MRT Station, providing convenient transportation access. As one approaches from the end of Donghu Road onto Kangle Street, the left side green space marked by the large characters "Neigou Creek" is Donghu Liveliness Park. Adjacent to the park along the bank of Neigou Creek is the cherry blossom viewing trail, cultivated through the efforts of the neighborhood chief and residents. Currently featuring over a hundred trees, including Prunus cerasoides and Wushe cherry, these blossoms bloom sequentially between February and March. Since 2014, the blooming season has attracted large crowds, making it a popular spot highlighted on the internet, often referred to as a hidden paradise in the urban jungle. The park serves as both a space for community activities and greenery, equipped with facilities such as a children's playground for climbing and playing, resting pavilions for community gatherings, fitness equipment for relaxation, and preserved activity spaces within the park. The winding pathways throughout the park allow visitors to enjoy the abundant greenery surrounding them.
