Maokong Camphor Tree Trail Introduction

The Zhangshu Trail is located in the Maokong area of Taipei. It was formerly one of the important Baojia routes and has now become a popular hiking destination for tourists. The trail is designed to be gentle and spacious, making it suitable for hikers of all ages to walk or rest. On both sides of the trail, you can see typical rural scenery, featuring characteristic spots like acacia charcoal kilns, tea plantations, and granaries, allowing you to enjoy nature while experiencing the charm of Taiwan's traditional agriculture and historical culture. With the changing seasons, the floral scenery along the trail is always breathtaking. In spring, the bluebonnets sway like wind chimes; in summer, the cosmos add a refreshing feel to the hot season; and in autumn, the sunflowers shine brightly, creating a delightful atmosphere for your hiking journey. When you feel tired along the way, the tea houses by the trail are ideal resting spots. These tea houses offer Maokong high mountain tea, providing a leisurely and relaxing space where you can enjoy the fresh tea aroma and the mountain breeze while soaking in the surrounding natural scenery and easily recharge your energy. The Maokong Zhangshu Trail is a hiking route that combines natural beauty with cultural history, providing a pleasant and restorative travel experience for families and solo adventurers alike.
