Tilted Mailbox Introduction
In 2015, Typhoon Soudelor swept across Taiwan, and the red and green mailbox located on Longjiang Road in Zhongshan District was affected by strong winds and fallen signs, causing the mailbox's midsection to bend and deform, resembling a person with a "crooked waist." This attracted many pedestrians to take photos with it, earning it the playful nickname "crooked waist mailbox," which went viral on the internet and became an alternative landmark for people to take pictures. Besides its tourism value and historical significance, after evaluation and restoration by Chunghwa Post, the crooked waist mailbox still retains its original function of receiving mail.
