Leaning Mailbox Introduction
In 2015, Typhoon Soudelor swept across Taiwan, causing strong winds and falling signs to impact the red-green mailboxes on Longjiang Road in Zhongshan District. One of the mailboxes bent and deformed at the waist, resembling a person leaning to one side, attracting many passersby to take photos with it. This quirky mailbox was humorously dubbed the "Leaning Mailbox" and went viral online, becoming an alternative landmark for photo-taking. In addition to its tourism value and historical significance, the Leaning Mailbox still retains its original mail delivery function after assessment and repairs by Chunghwa Post.
