Slanted Mailbox Introduction
In 2015, Typhoon Soudelor swept across Taiwan, and the red and green mailbox located on Longjiang Road in Zhongshan District was affected by strong winds and falling signage. The mailbox's waist bent and deformed to the side, resembling a person "leaning sideways," which attracted many passersby to take photos with it. It was humorously nicknamed the "Leaning Mailbox," and it quickly gained popularity on the internet, becoming an alternative landmark for people to visit and take pictures. Aside from its tourism value and historical significance, the leaning mailbox was evaluated and repaired by Chunghwa Post and still retains its original mail delivery function.
