Tilted Mailbox Introduction
In 2015, Typhoon Soudelor swept across Taiwan, and a red and green mailbox located on Longjiang Road in Zhongshan District was affected by strong winds and falling signs. The mailbox's waist pole bent and deformed, resembling a person with a "crooked waist," attracting many passersby to take pictures with it. It was humorously dubbed the "Crooked Waist Mailbox" and became an internet sensation, turning into an alternative landmark for people to take photos. Apart from its tourism value and historical significance, the Crooked Waist Mailbox was assessed and repaired by Chunghwa Post, and it still retains its original function of mail delivery.
