Yongchun Wetland Ecological Park Introduction
Yongchunpi Park was originally the Yongchunpi military camp used by the military. After the troops were relocated to Xindian in 2000, it was left unused for many years and was designated as park land in 2016. It was then planned and designed by the Public Works Department, Soil and Water Conservation Bureau of Taipei City Government to become the current Yongchunpi Ecological Wetland Park. Located at the foot of Four Beasts Mountain in the Xinyi District, Yongchunpi Ecological Wetland Park covers an area of approximately 4 hectares, making it the first urban wetland ecological park that integrates environmental education, ecological restoration, and historical value. It officially opened to the public in 2020, and the park's mascot, the Eastern Screech Owl, was elected through a voting process. While visiting the park, keep an eye out, and you might catch a glimpse of the beautiful Eastern Screech Owl!
