Yongchunbei Ecological Wetland Park Introduction
Yongchunpi Park was originally the Yongchunpi Military Camp used by the military. After the troop relocation to Xindian in 2000, it was left unused for many years and in 2016, it was converted into park land. It was then planned and designed by the Public Works Department of Taipei City Government to become the current Yongchunpi Ecological Wetland Park. Located at the foot of Shishou Mountain in Xinyi District, the park covers an area of about 4 hectares. It is the first urban wetland ecological park that combines environmental education, ecological restoration, and historical value. It officially opened to the public in 2020 and elected the Eastern Screech Owl, which occasionally appears in the park, as the park's ambassador. When visiting the park, be sure to keep an eye out, as you might just catch a glimpse of the beautiful Eastern Screech Owl!
