Yongchunbei Ecological Wetland Park Introduction

Yongchun Wetland Park was originally used by the military as the Yongchun Barracks. After the troops moved to Xindian in 2000, it was left unused for many years and in 2016 it was converted into park land. Subsequently, it was planned and designed by the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department into the current Yongchun Wetland Ecological Park. Yongchun Wetland Ecological Park is located at the foot of Si Shou Mountain in the Xinyi District and covers an area of about 4 hectares. It is the first urban wetland ecological park that combines environmental education, ecological restoration, and historical value. It officially opened to the public in 2020, and the Eastern Screech Owl, chosen through a public vote as the park's representative animal, can often be spotted in the park. When visiting, keep an eye out for the beautiful figure of the Eastern Screech Owl!
