Songshan Fengtian Temple Introduction

In 1953, local gentry and elders of Songshan, such as Wen Jinbo and Liu Yonghao, raised funds to build a bamboo temple to worship the Jade Emperor, naming it "Songshan Fengtian Temple." In 1959, the Yongji Road Kaian Temple was established as a branch of the An Temple from Baocong Township in Yunlin, initiating the "Five-Year Qiansui" belief. Due to the flourishing incense offerings, local residents decided to merge the deities of the two temples and planned an expansion at the present site. Songshan Fengtian Temple is located on Hushan, part of the Si Beast Mountain, adjacent to the city government and the Xinyi shopping district, with distant views of the Datun, Qixing, Shamao, and Guanyin mountains. The Hushan Trail at Si Beast Mountain is a must for citizens hiking to Fengtian Temple, gathering crowds and creating a bustling market that meets the daily needs of hikers and nearby residents. Elevated with a view, it offers stunning cityscapes and beautiful scenery. It is a great place for the public to enjoy leisure hiking and find tranquility.
