Songshan Fengtian Temple Introduction
In the 42nd year of the Republic of China, local gentry and elders in Songshan, including Wen Jinbo and Liu Yonghao, raised funds to build a bamboo temple dedicated to the Jade Emperor, naming it "Songshan Fengtian Temple." In the 48th year of the Republic of China, Yongji Road's Kaian Temple was established as a branch of the An Temple in Ma Ming Mountain, Baozhong Township, Yunlin. Due to its popularity, the local community decided to merge the two temples and planned to expand at the current site. Songshan Fengtian Temple is located on Hushan Mountain within the Four Beasts Mountain, next to the city government and the Xinyi business district, with a view of surrounding peaks such as Datun, Qixing, Shamao, and Guanyin. The Hushan Trail, which is located by the Fengtian Temple, is a must-pass for citizens who climb mountains. The gathering of people forms a vibrant market, meeting the needs of climbers and nearby residents. Elevated, it offers a spectacular view of the cityscape and beautiful scenery. It serves as a peaceful retreat for city dwellers to enjoy leisure and calm their minds. (Source: Songshan Fengtian Temple Official Website)
