Bihua Temple Introduction
Bihua Temple is located in the Dong District of Sanchong, established two years before the founding of the Republic of China. It was rebuilt to its current scale in 1973. Bihua Temple features a three-story Buddhist architecture modeled after Northern styles, with stone lions at the entrance and stone columns under the main hall staircase, as well as stone carvings on both side staircases. There are also drum stones and doorstop stones on either side of the doors. Today, Bihua Temple has transformed from an early Buddhist temple dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha into a folk belief temple that embodies Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, with uniquely styled deities on display that differ from those in typical temples, inviting visitors to worship and observe.
