Bihua Temple Introduction
Bihua Temple is located in the Dong District of Sanchong City. It was established in the second year before the founding of the Republic of China (1910) and was reconstructed to its current scale in 1973. Bihua Temple is a three-story Buddhist building modeled after the Northern architectural style, featuring stone lions at the entrance, stone pillars at the steps of the main hall, and intricately carved stone blocks on both sides of the staircases. The drum stones and threshold stones are positioned at each side of the doors. Today, Bihua Temple has transformed from an early temple dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha into a folk belief temple that integrates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. The deities worshiped here have unique forms that differ from typical temples, and visitors are welcome to come for worship and observation.
