Le Gang Farm Indoor Orchestra Introduction
The Le Geng Nong Chamber Orchestra, centered on traditional Chinese music, is an outstanding local ensemble from Yunlin County that has been cultivating musical arts for twenty years. Deeply rooted in the community and looking towards the international stage, it is one of the most proactive teams in promoting music and arts culture in Yunlin. It was founded in January 2001. Acting as "musical farmers," they have deeply engaged with the local area, starting from ethnic instruments and using organic and diverse creations and performances to integrate music into daily life, balancing tradition and innovation. Shortly after its establishment, the orchestra received the "Outstanding Support Team Award" from the Council for Cultural Affairs and was selected twice as an "Outstanding Performing Arts Team in Yunlin County." Their music performances feature international, national, and regional diversity, dedicated to spreading seeds of artistic aesthetics and promoting both macro and micro social aesthetic education, actively investing in the integration of music and arts into people's lives. After twenty years of growth and transformation through continuous effort and refinement, the orchestra has become more vibrant and promising, hoping to continue yielding fruitful results in the field of music and arts. Performance activities include: music live salons, cultural discussions, and instrument experience workshops. Music education sessions consist of the "Growing People Music Class," workshops, and music consultancy. Their music design services cover image scoring, spatial music design, and various event soundtracks. In August 2020, the Yunlin County Government's "Mini Book Corner" settled in Le Geng Nong Chamber Orchestra, sharing many selected books and hosting various cultural discussions, workshops, and music salons. To further activate and deepen the "Mini Book Corner," they expanded it into a reading and cultural exchange corner, establishing "Le Read"! "Le Read" features the most unique reading corner, where ethnic instruments and music desks and chairs are arranged in a casual and romantic atmosphere woven with music and literature. The micro book corner advocates that music and literature flow like rivers in daily life. "Le Read" nourishes each visiting traveler with a small part of this essence. In the realm of time and art, letters and notes intertwine and flow, allowing reading to take place in our daily lives—everyone is welcome to enjoy a simple aesthetic life!
