Le Geng Farmers Indoor Band Introduction
Yunlin County's Le-Geng Farm Indoor Orchestra, centered on traditional Chinese music, is a distinguished local ensemble with twenty years of dedication to the music arts. Deeply rooted in the community while looking towards the international stage, it is one of the most proactive teams promoting music and cultural arts in Yunlin. The group sprouted in January 2001, cultivating music in the local area as "musical farmers." Starting from ethnic instruments, they create and perform diverse and organic music, integrating traditional and innovative elements into everyday life. Upon its establishment, Le-Geng Farm was awarded the title of "Excellent Supporting Team" by the National Culture and Arts Foundation, and it has been selected twice as one of Yunlin County's "Outstanding Performing Teams." The orchestra's performances feature a variety of music cultures on international, national, and regional levels, aiming to spread artistic aesthetics and promote a sense of social beauty through both macro and micro educational efforts. As the ensemble continuously strives for improvement, its growth over the past twenty years has injected vitality and potential, hoping to yield abundant results in the field of music arts. Exhibition activities include: music live salons, cultural talks, and instrument experience workshops. Music education offerings feature: organic music classes, workshops, and music consultation. Music design services encompass: audiovisual scoring, space music design, and various event scoring. In August 2020, the Yunlin County Government's [Mini Book Corner] collaborated with Le-Geng Farm Indoor Orchestra, sharing many selected books and hosting numerous cultural talks, workshops, and music salons. To further invigorate the [Mini Book Corner] and expand it into a space for reading and cultural exchanges, "Le-Reading" was established! "Le-Reading," the most unique reading nook, features ethnic instruments and tables set in a relaxed and romantic ambiance where music and literature intertwine. The philosophy of the Mini Book advocates that music and literature flow like rivers in our lives. "Le-Reading" nourishes all visitors with this tiny slice of experience. In the art of time, words and notes interweave and flow, allowing reading to happen in our daily lives. We welcome you to enjoy a simple, aesthetic life!
