Le Gang Farm Indoor Orchestra Introduction
Le Geng Agricultural Indoor Orchestra, with a focus on Chinese music, is an outstanding local ensemble based in Yunlin County with two decades of dedication to music and arts. Deeply rooted in the community yet looking outward to the world, it is one of the most active music performance teams promoting music and arts culture in Yunlin. Founded in January 2001, the ensemble has been cultivating the local area as “music farmers,” starting from ethnic instruments and utilizing organic and diverse creation and performance to integrate music into daily life, balancing tradition and innovation. Upon its establishment, Le Geng Agricultural was honored as a “Fine Support Team” by the National Culture and Arts Foundation and has twice been recognized as a “Outstanding Performing Arts Team of Yunlin County.” Its musical performances encompass international, national, and regional cultural diversity, aiming to spread the seeds of artistic aesthetics and promote both macro and micro social aesthetic education, while actively integrating music arts into the public's daily life. After twenty years of continuous effort and refinement, the orchestra has become more vibrant and full of potential, looking forward to continuing to yield fruitful results in music and arts. Performance activities include music live salons, cultural discussions, and instrument experience workshops. Music education offerings include the Sprouting Music School, seminars, and music consultations. Music design services involve soundtrack creation, spatial music design, and event scoring. In August 2020, the Yunlin County Government's “Micro Corner” moved into Le Geng Agricultural Indoor Orchestra, sharing many selected books and engaging in various cultural discussions, workshops, and music salons. To further enhance and activate the “Micro Corner,” expanding it into a space for reading and cultural exchange, “Le Read” was established! “Le Read,” the most unique reading corner, features ethnic instruments along with tables and chairs, creating a relaxed and romantic atmosphere where music and text intertwine. The Micro Corner advocates that music and literature flow like rivers in our daily life. “Le Read” nourishes even the smallest part, enriching every traveler who visits. In the art of time, text and notes flow and intertwine, allowing reading to occur in our daily lives—welcome to enjoy a simple aesthetic life!
