Le Geng Farmers Chamber Orchestra Introduction
Luo Geng Agricultural Indoor Orchestra, with a focus on Chinese music, is an outstanding local orchestra from Yunlin County that has been cultivating music and art for twenty years. Deeply rooted locally while also looking towards the international stage, it is one of the most active teams in promoting musical and artistic culture in Yunlin. It was founded in January 2001 in Yunlin. As music farmers, they engage in the community, starting from traditional musical instruments and using organic and diverse creativity and performances to integrate music into daily life, balancing tradition with innovation. Upon its establishment, Luo Geng Agricultural Orchestra was awarded the "Excellent Support Team" by the Council for Cultural Affairs, and has been recognized twice as a "Outstanding Performing Arts Team" in Yunlin County. The musical performances encompass international, national, and regional efforts to promote diverse music culture, striving to spread seeds of artistic aesthetics and promote macro and micro social aesthetic education, while actively integrating music and art into people's lives. Through continuous efforts and improvements, after twenty years of growth and transformation, the orchestra is more vibrant and holds great potential, hoping to continue yielding fruitful results for music and art. Performance activities include: music live salons, cultural talks, and instrument experience workshops. Music education includes: budding music classrooms, study workshops, and music consultation. Music design includes: audiovisual scoring, spatial music design, and event scoring. In August 2020, the Yunlin County Government's "Micro Book Corner" was established at Luo Geng Agricultural Indoor Orchestra, sharing many selected books and organizing various cultural talks, workshops, and music salons. In order to further enhance and activate the "Micro Book Corner," it expanded into a space for reading and cultural exchange and established "Yue Read"! "Yue Read" features the most unique reading corner where ethnic instruments and tables and chairs are interspersed, weaving music and literature into a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The ethos of the Micro Book Corner is that music and literature flow like rivers in life. "Yue Read" provides a small part of that, nourishing every traveler who visits. In the realm of time art, words and notes intertwine and flow, allowing reading to occur in our daily lives—welcome to enjoy a simple aesthetic life!
