Le Gang Farm Indoor Orchestra Introduction
Le Geng Farm Indoor Orchestra is an outstanding local ensemble based in Yunlin County, Taiwan, focusing on traditional Chinese music. After twenty years of cultivating music and arts, it has made significant efforts to promote musical culture both locally and internationally, being one of the most proactive performing arts teams in Yunlin. Established in January 2001, it nurtures the community as "musical farmers," starting from folk instruments and integrating organic and diverse creations and performances that bring music into daily life while balancing tradition and innovation. Shortly after its establishment, Le Geng Farm was honored as a "Excellent Support Team" by the National Cultural and Arts Foundation and was twice selected as a "Outstanding Performing Arts Team in Yunlin County." The orchestra promotes a variety of music cultures on international, national, and regional levels and is committed to spreading the seeds of artistic aesthetics, advancing both macro and micro social aesthetic education, and actively integrating music and arts into people's lives. Through continuous effort and enhancement over the past twenty years, the orchestra has grown more vibrant and full of potential, hoping to yield fruitful results for music and arts in the future. Performance activities include: music live salons, cultural discussions, and instrument experience workshops. Music education consists of: music classes for budding musicians, workshops, and music consultations. Music design services cover: image scoring, space music design, and event music scoring. In August 2020, the Yunlin County Government's "Microbook Corner" collaborated with Le Geng Farm Indoor Orchestra to share many selected books and host various cultural discussions, workshops, and music salons. To deepen and enliven the Microbook Corner, expanding it into a space for reading and cultural exchange, the "Le Read" project was established! "Le Read" offers a unique reading corner where ethnic instruments and tables are arranged creatively, intertwining music and literature in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The philosophy of Microbook advocates that music and literature flow like rivers in daily life. "Le Read" nourishes a small part of this, enriching every traveler who visits. In the realm of time arts, words and notes intertwine and flow, allowing reading to take place in our everyday lives. You are welcome to come and enjoy a simple aesthetic life!
