Shuntian Temple, Liren Village, Huwei Introduction
Fuli Zhuangyan Emperor Temple, also known as Shuntian Temple, enshrines Guandi (the God of War) and also pays homage to Prince Guanping and General Zhoucang. The original statue of Guandi was housed in a private residence of the Li family in Houzhuang, Huwei. A new temple was established in the 45th year of the Republic of China, named Shuntian Temple. Every year on the 24th day of the 6th lunar month, a birthday celebration for Guandi is held along with a procession for peace. Photography: Hsueh Ying-ch'i (Authorized photo, please do not reproduce)
