Huwei Mazu Temple Introduction
Yuh Er Mazu, the Emergency Rescue Goddess Temple of Huwei, is commonly referred to by locals as Er Ma Miao. The temple’s Mazu incense comes from the Tianhou Temple in the Shanshang District of Tainan, known as Yuh Er Tian Shang Sheng Mu (not Lin Mo Niang). During the Ghost Festival on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, the altar for the Huwei Zhongyuan Festival is set up in front of the Tianhou Temple, attracting many domestic and international tourists.
