Huwei Tianhou Temple Introduction
Yu Er Ma, the emergency rescue deity of Huwei Tianhou Temple, is locally referred to as Er Ma Miao. The worship of Mazu originates from Tainan's Shanshang District Tianhou Temple "Yu Er Tian Shang Sheng Mu" (not Lin Mo Niang). During the Ghost Festival on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the altar for the Huwei Zhongyuan Festival is set up in front of the Tianhou Temple, attracting many domestic and international tourists.
