Yue Er Ma, the emergency rescue deity, is worshiped at the Hu-Wei Tianhou Temple, locally known as Er Ma Temple. The incense offerings to Mazu come from the Tianhou Temple in the Shan Shang District of Tainan, known as "Yue Er Tian Shang Sheng Mu" (not Lin Mo Niang). During the Hungry Ghost Festival on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month, the altar for the West District's Pu-Du event is set up in front of the Tianhou Temple, attracting many domestic and international tourists.

Yuh Er Mazu, the Emergency Rescue Goddess Temple of Huwei, is commonly referred to by locals as Er Ma Miao. The temple’s Mazu incense comes from the Tianhou Temple in the Shanshang District of Tainan, known as Yuh Er Tian Shang Sheng Mu (not Lin Mo Niang).
