Taiwan Craft House - Ying's Happy Workshop Introduction
"Ying's Happy Workshop" was established in 2004 by Teacher Lin Pei-ying, who adheres to the philosophy of "Craftspeople, Philanthropy; Focus on Environmental Protection and Heritage." She has deeply engaged in promoting the art of flower wrapping in central and southern Taiwan, reaching schools, communities, associations, temples, and government agencies, covering various sectors including industry, government, academia, and research. The teacher's selfless and patient guidance, along with her respect for traditional culture, has earned her students' admiration, with over a thousand students accumulated over more than a decade, deeply loved by her students. From product development to production, the teacher mostly chooses to use "green craft" (environmentally friendly), taking local culture and characteristics from Taiwan or Yunlin County as the themes for her creations, such as: dragonflies, purple butterflies, eight-colored birds, golden bats, greenish white-eyes, Taiwan blue magpies, mountain sparrows, white wagtails, Taiwan duckweed, plum blossoms, magnolias, and lilies, crafting these local features into brooches, necklaces, and bow ties. Through meticulous handcrafted creation, she incorporates traditional spring flower designs into modern fashionable accessories, highlighting the wearer's personality, taste, and style. This approach makes it accessible to people of all ages, cleverly integrating this craft into everyday accessories. Through these environmentally conceptual themed elements, she hopes to pass down the art of flower wrapping— a cultural domain with breadth and depth— for generations to come. Since 2000, with 22 years of experience in spring flower design and development, Teacher Lin Pei-ying has not only excelled in form, color, and texture but has also transcended product imagery to introduce the concept of modern fashionable accessories and life. The brand "Ying's Happy Workshop" is both a professional maker of festive spring flower decorations and a pioneer in the cultural experience of flower wrapping arts.
