Taiwan Craft House - Ying's Happy Workshop Introduction
"Ying's Happiness Workshop" was established in 2004 by Teacher Lin Pei-Ying, who adheres to the philosophy of "Craftsmen with a Heart for Public Welfare; Emphasizing Environmental Protection and Cultural Heritage." She has been dedicated to promoting the art of flower wrapping in central and southern Taiwan, reaching schools, communities, associations, temples, and public institutions, covering various sectors including business, government, education, and research. Teacher Lin's selfless and patient guidance, along with her respect for traditional culture, has earned her admiration from students, with over a thousand students educated and cherished over the past decade. From product development to production, she primarily chooses to use "Green Craftsmanship (eco-friendly)," taking inspiration from local culture and characteristics of Taiwan or Yunlin County as themes for her creations, such as: dragonflies, purple spotted butterflies, eight-colored birds, golden bats, green-backed tit, Taiwan blue magpie, mountain sparrow, white wagtail, Taiwan water plants, plum blossoms, magnolias, lilies, etc. These local features are crafted into brooches, necklaces, bow ties, and other accessories. Through meticulously handcrafted work, traditional spring flower designs are integrated into modern fashionable accessories, highlighting the wearer's personality, taste, and style, making it acceptable for people of all ages while cleverly incorporating this craft into daily items. Through these eco-conscious elements, it is hoped to pass on the profound and broad cultural domain of flower wrapping craft for generations to come. Since 2000, with 22 years of experience in spring flower design and development, Teacher Lin Pei-Ying has not only executed the forms, colors, and textures to perfection but has also transcended product imagery to propose concepts of modern fashion accessories and lifestyle. The "Ying's Happiness Workshop" brand is not only a professional maker of celebratory spring flower ornaments but also a pioneer in the cultural experience of flower wrapping craft.
