Xiaozuzi Fishing Port Introduction
Hidden within the bustling Taipei Port is a small fishing harbor, tranquil as if entering another secret realm. This place, known as the Xia Guzi Fishing Port, is a little-known gem in Bali. Situated in a designated area of Taipei Port, it is classified as a Type II fishing port, where many fishing vessels from nearby Taoyuan and Tamsui are docked. In recent years, cycling tourism along both sides of the Tamsui River has flourished. The Bali Left Bank Cycle Path runs from the mouth of the Guanyin River to the Xia Guzi Fishing Port, covering approximately 16 kilometers, passing through attractions such as Guandu Bridge, Bali Ferry Terminal, Wedding Plaza, and the Wazihwei Ecological Reserve, as well as the Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology, integrating culture, ecology, and historical sites—making it a rare cycling oasis in the urban jungle. At Xia Guzi Fishing Port, along with traditional blue-hulled boats, the westward-facing harbor also serves as one of the best sunset viewing spots. As the sun sets, the tranquil waters of the fishing port reflect the scene, accompanied by the West Coast Expressway that crosses the harbor, creating a breathtaking sunset display that mesmerizes visitors to this small fishing port.
