Xiaozu Fishing Port Introduction
Inside Taipei Port, where large ships frequently come and go, there lies a small fishing harbor that feels like a tranquil secret place. This hidden gem, known as Xia Gu Zi Fishing Port, is a less-known spot in Bali. The fishing port is located within a designated area of Taipei Port and is classified as a Type II fishing port, where many fishing vessels operating near Taoyuan and Tamsui are docked. In recent years, the bicycle tourism along both sides of the Tamsui River has flourished, with the Bali Left Bank Cycling Path extending approximately 16 kilometers from the mouth of Guanyin Stream to Xia Gu Zi Fishing Port. Along the way, it passes through Guan Du Bridge, Bali Ferry Terminal, Wedding Square, and reaches the Waziwei Ecological Reserve and Shisan Hang Museum, integrating culture, ecology, and historic sites, making it a rare bicycle oasis in the urban jungle. At Xia Gu Zi Fishing Port, one can see traditional blue-hulled fishing boats, and due to the port facing west, it has become one of the best spots for sunset viewing. As the sun sets and with the Western Coastal Expressway crossing the port, the sea reflects the serene fishing harbor, creating a breathtaking sunset spectacle that astonishes visitors.
