Dazhuzi Fishing Port Introduction
Within the bustling Taipei Port, there lies a small fishing harbor that feels like a hidden paradise, known as Xiaguzih Fishing Harbor. This lesser-known gem in Bali is situated within a designated area of Taipei Port and is classified as a secondary fishing port. The harbor is primarily used by fishing boats from nearby Taoyuan and Tamsui. In recent years, the bike tourism along the banks of the Tamsui River has thrived, with the Bali Left Bank Bicycle Path extending approximately 16 kilometers from the Guanyin Keng River mouth to Xiaguzih Fishing Harbor. The route passes through sites like the Guandu Bridge, Bali Ferry Terminal, Wedding Plaza, and leads to the Wazihwei Ecological Reserve and the Shisanhang Museum of Archaeology, integrating culture, ecology, and historic monuments, making it a rare cycling oasis in an urban jungle. At Xiaguzih Fishing Harbor, one can see traditional blue-hulled fishing boats. Due to its westward orientation, it has also become one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset. As the sun sets, the serene harbor reflects on the water, accompanied by the West Coast Expressway crossing the port, creating a breathtaking sunset show that leaves visitors in awe.
