Anxin Bridge Introduction
The Ankeng Light Rail is approximately 7.5 kilometers long, connecting the Ankeng area with the Xindian urban area, and features 9 stations along the route. It runs from Station K1 (Shuangcheng Station) to Station K9 (Shijizhang Station), where passengers can transfer to the MRT Circular Line. The most prominent structure along the Ankeng Light Rail is the Anxin Bridge, which spans the Xindian River. This asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge has a tower height of 130 meters and a length of 502 meters, making it the longest rail cable-stayed bridge in Taiwan. The majestic structure of the Anxin Bridge allows the Ankeng Light Rail trains to smoothly cross the Xindian River, while the towering white bridge tower has become a new landmark in Xindian. It complements the colorful light rail bridges of the Circular Line upstream and downstream, as well as the elegantly arched Xindian River Sunshine Bridge, together creating a skyline in New Taipei's southern district that includes the distant Taipei 101. In the future, as trains pass through the Anxin Bridge, the truss bridge will gradually illuminate in the direction of the train's movement, offering a unique sight when viewed at night.
