Anxin Bridge Introduction
Ankang Light Rail spans approximately 7.5 kilometers, connecting the Ankang area with the Xindian city center. Along the route, there are nine stations, running from K1 Shuangcheng Station to K9 Shijizhang Station, where passengers can transfer to the Taipei Metro Circular Line. The most striking building along the Ankang Light Rail is the Anxin Bridge, which crosses the Xindian River. This single-tower asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge boasts a height of 130 meters and a length of 502 meters, making it the longest cable-stayed bridge in Taiwan. The magnificent structure of the Anxin Bridge allows Ankang Light Rail trains to smoothly traverse the Xindian River. Its tall white towers have become a new landmark in the Xindian area. Together with the colorful Cable-stayed bridges of the Circular Line and the elegantly arched Yangguang Bridge over the Xindian River, it enhances the skyline of New Taipei's southern district alongside the distant Taipei 101. In the future, as trains pass over the Anxin Bridge, the truss bridge will gradually illuminate in the direction of the train's movement, presenting a unique scene when viewed at night.
