Anxin Bridge Introduction

The Ankeng Light Rail is approximately 7.5 kilometers long, connecting the Ankeng area with the Xindian urban area, with 9 stations along the route. It runs from K1 Shuangcheng Station to K9 Shijizhang Station, where passengers can transfer to the Circular Line of Taipei Metro. The most prominent building along the Ankeng Light Rail is the Anxin Bridge, which spans the Xindian River. This single-tower, asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge rises to 130 meters and is 502 meters long, making it the longest cable-stayed bridge for railways in Taiwan. The magnificent structure of the Anxin Bridge allows the Ankeng Light Rail trains to cross the Xindian River smoothly. The towering white bridge tower has become a new landmark in the Xindian area, complementing the colorful bridges of the Circular Line Light Rail upstream and downstream, as well as the elegantly arced Sunshine Bridge over the Xindian River. Together, they form the skyline of the southern New Taipei area, including the distant Taipei 101. In the future, as trains pass over the Anxin Bridge, the truss bridge will gradually light up in the direction of the train, creating a unique view at night.
