Ankang Light Rail Public Art Introduction
The golden train of the Ankang Light Rail elegantly weaves between the left bank of the Xindian River and the Ankang Mountain City. As the second light rail system in northern Taiwan, the Ankang Light Rail is located entirely within the Ankang area of Xindian, featuring 9 light rail stations that connect the urban area with the serene mountain town. Passengers can transfer to the Circular Line Metro at the Shijia Station. Through the expansive panoramic windows of the light rail trains, riders can enjoy the scenic views of the mountain town, the Xindian River Sunshine Bridge, the Anxin Bridge, and iconic landmarks such as Taipei 101. The New Taipei City Metro Bureau has collaborated with several artists to install thoughtful public art pieces at various light rail stations, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in a diverse artistic atmosphere while waiting for the train.
