Da'an Gan Chun Distillery Story House Introduction
About Daan Gan Chun Distillery Story House Daan Gan Chun Distillery Story House was established in 2014 and is located in Daan District, Taichung City. In 2019, it launched its own brand "Ambas." Its products not only participate in domestic alcohol competitions but are also sent overseas for international contests. Some of the achievements include: 53% Ambas Aged White Wine, which won the International Taste Institute (itQi) Three-Star Award; 16.8% Ambas Aged Plum Wine, which won the International Taste Institute (itQi) Two-Star Award; 52% Hai Quan Zhen Lu, which won the International Taste Institute (itQi) Two-Star Award, and also received the Ministry of Finance's Excellent Product Certification. In addition to white wines, it has also introduced a variety of fruit wines favored by female customers, brewed from pure fruits, each with a rich natural fruit aroma. In 2022, we launched "Gan Bei" Citrus Wine, which is Taiwan's first collaboratively developed sweet fruit wine by industry, government, and academia, brewed using carefully selected tangerines and ponkan oranges from the Shigang Farmers Association. The light orange liquid emits a refreshing orange fragrance, and its sweet and sour taste is loved by many. When visiting Daan Gan Chun Distillery Story House, you'll find yourself surrounded by wind turbines, a unique landscape in the coastal region. Next to the story house is an ecological park and Daan Beach. To promote the beauty and cultural history of the coastal area, we also launched the Jia An Pu gift box, the most local wine gift, which incorporates local history, scenery, and products to create three different flavored wines. This is not only the best souvenir but also hopes to take you on a delightful gourmet journey through Taichung, Dajia, Daan, and Waipu. Daan Gan Chun Distillery's Commitment and Philosophy Inheriting the brewing wisdom of the older generation, Daan Gan Chun has been operating for 20 years with a commitment to "pure grain solid-state fermentation distillation." We sincerely and steadfastly follow our own path, ensuring that our products do not contain any artificial alcohol or fragrances, allowing for the purest natural flavors. We adhere to a slow-maturation and meticulous brewing process to produce high-quality local Taiwanese wines. Unlike other large wineries that focus on quantity and sales, we turn our attention back to Taiwan’s land and culture, striving to promote local wine culture; local people brew wine using local crops such as sorghum from Dajia's young farmers, surplus wheat from Daya, grapes from Waipu's small farmers, and ripe plums from Dongshi, among others. In addition to local ingredients, we meticulously brew each bottle of wine using a slow and careful process, continually refining to ensure every type of wine has its unique flavor and essence. At the same time, we hope this ancient brewing craft can take root locally and be passed down, conveying the spirit of winemaking artisans and local agricultural culture. Visiting Daan Gan Chun Distillery Story House At the story house, you can learn about the ancient method of solid-state pure grain brewing process and its differences from modern winemaking through guided tours.
