Sunset Viewing Guide ■ Every summer (June to August), the Haiwong Grand Swimming Pool (public pool not exclusive to guests) is open from 8 AM to 5 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays to Fridays, and from 8 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a break from 12 PM to 1 PM when services are suspended. The pool is closed every Tuesday for routine maintenance. The facility may also be closed on rainy days, during typhoons, or in severe weather conditions. Open to the public: General admission ticket price is $200, discounted price is $100. Free admission: 1. Infants under 110 cm tall (must be accompanied by a paying parent). 2. Holders of disability certificates (including one accompanying person). *Swim caps and swimsuits are required to enter the swimming pool. ■ The beach is open for water activities from March to October (from 7 AM to 6 PM). ■ Surfing and kite surfing are available from March to December (from 7 AM to 6 PM). Due to the increasing demand for water-related recreational activities, the Taichung City Government's Tourism Bureau has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the coastal waters near Daan Beach to ensure that the public can safely engage in water recreational activities. From August 1, 2013, the public has been allowed to participate in activities such as beach play, surfing, and kite surfing after the assessment and planning. Due to safety considerations, swimming is not recommended in the waters near Daan Seaside Park, as the levels of coliform bacteria have not stabilized. Surrounding Daan Seaside Park, visitors can also explore the only mangrove forest in Greater Taichung - "Mangrove Ecological Park," the "Turtle Shell Ecological Park" on the southern bank of the Warm Liao River estuary, "Egret Forest," "Daan Water Caltrop Ecological Education Park," and "Master A-Chung's Taro Cultural Museum."
