Hua Tan Station │ Local Train Industry Tour Introduction
It is said that the name change of the station has an interesting story. During the Japanese rule, a member of the Japanese imperial family took a government train to this station and was displeased when the stationmaster repeatedly shouted "Qiaodongjiao," as it sounded similar to the Japanese term for "lower class passenger." Upon learning that it was the name of the station and not an intentional insult, he ordered the inappropriate name to be changed to "Hua Tan." When you exit the station, you can see a bicycle hub established by enthusiastic locals, making it convenient for travelers to ride around Hua Tan.
