Huatan Station│Local Train Industrial Tourism Introduction
It is said that there is an interesting story behind the change of the station name. During the Japanese occupation, a member of the Japanese royal family took the official train to this station and was quite displeased to hear the stationmaster repeatedly calling out "Qiaodongjiao," as it sounded like "lower-class passenger" in Japanese. Upon realizing it was the station name and not an intentional insult, the order was given to change the inappropriate name to "Hua Tan." When you exit the station, you can see a bicycle station set up by enthusiastic locals, making it convenient for travelers to ride and explore Hua Tan.
