Hua Tan Station│Local Train Industrial Tourism Introduction
It is said that there is an interesting story behind the name change of the station. During the Japanese colonial period, a member of the Japanese imperial family took the official train to this station and was quite displeased to hear the station master repeatedly call out “Qiaotangjiao," as it sounded similar to the Japanese term for "lower-class passengers." After it was clarified that it was the station's name and not an intentional insult, the order was given to change the inappropriate name to "Huatan." Upon exiting the station, you can see a bicycle station set up by enthusiastic locals, making it convenient for travelers to ride and explore Huatan.
