Hua Tan Station │ Local Train Industrial Tour Introduction
According to the story behind the station's name change, during the Japanese colonial period, a Japanese royal family member took an official train to this station and was quite displeased to hear the stationmaster repeatedly calling out "Qiaodongjiao," as it sounded very similar to the Japanese phrase for "lower-class passenger." After learning that it was the station's name and not an intentional insult, the royal ordered that the inappropriate name be changed to "Huatan." Upon exiting the station, visitors can see a bike rental station set up by enthusiastic locals, making it convenient for travelers to ride around Huatan.
