Hua Tan Station│Local Train Industry Tour Introduction
It is said that there is an interesting story behind the name change of the station. During Japanese rule, a member of the Japanese imperial family took an official train to this station and was quite displeased when he heard the stationmaster repeatedly call out "Qitongjiao," as it sounded like "lower-class passenger" in Japanese. Later, he realized it was the station's name and not an intended insult, so he ordered the inappropriate name to be changed to "Huatan". Upon exiting the station, you can see a bicycle rental hub set up by enthusiastic locals, making it convenient for travelers to ride around Huatan.
