With its superior terrain, it feels like a paradise on earth. Hushan Rock is named after its shape, which resembles a reclining tiger. This place is said to have good feng shui, with the front stream resembling a dragon and the back mountain resembling a tiger. Surrounded by lush forests and bamboo, with the shadows of the bamboo swaying and the sounds of birds chirping, the scenery is beautiful. Being in this place feels like being in a realm of immortals, thus "Listening to Bamboo at Hushan" became one of the eight scenic spots of Changhua as early as the Qing Dynasty. Quiet and serene, with poetic charm. The temple is designed in a Sanheyuan style with a single hall, featuring simple and rustic architecture. The main hall, though small, is delicate and imbued with a sense of antiquity, representing medium-sized temples from the mid-Qing Dynasty. To the left of the temple, tall bamboo stands in abundance, with a pavilion hidden among them, rich in poetic atmosphere. In front of the temple, two ancient banyan trees, over two hundred years old, thrive with dense foliage. Hushan Rock is not only a tranquil Buddhist temple in the mountains but also a great place for people to seek serenity and explore ancient history. Worship and participate in festivals. The temple enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva, with festival days held on the 19th day of the 2nd lunar month, the 7th day of the 4th lunar month, the 18th day of the 6th lunar month, and the 29th day of the 9th lunar month each year, attracting many devotees from various places, creating a lively atmosphere.

Hualien Tiger Mountain Rock Introduction

One of the three famous temples in Changhua, Hushan Rock is a designated historical site, primarily worshiping Guanyin Bodhisattva and serving as a place for monastic purification. In the 12th year of the Qianlong reign, or in 1747, believers from Baisha Pit advocated for the construction of a Buddhist temple to honor Guanyin Bodhisattva. Thanks to a donation of forests by a believer named Lai Fenggao, Hushan Rock was established, becoming one of the three famous temples in Changhua during the Qing Dynasty.

The hills beside Hushan Rock Temple are planted with a new variety of daylily, Taitung No. 7, which is suitable for flatlands. The golden flowers cover over 30,000 plants on-site, transforming the hills next to Hushan Rock into a dazzling golden sea of flowers from mid-April to mid-May, attracting many travelers who come to admire the blooms. Transportation Methods：Public transportation: Take the Changhua bus to Huatan or Tianzhong, get off at Baishakeng Station, and walk for 30 minutes following the signposts. Driving: Exit National Highway No. 1 at Changhua Interchange and head towards Changhua City, turn right onto Zhonghua West Road (Taiwan Route 19), then turn left onto Zhongshan Road (Taiwan Route 1), and proceed south on Dapu Road (County Road 137) until you turn left onto Hushan Street to reach Hushan Rock.
