Ershuei Station │ Shanjiao Chasing Wind Seeking Rice Sea Introduction
Also known as "Ershui Station," it was built in the 8th year of the Showa era (1933) and was registered as a county-designated historical monument in 2020. It is the starting point of the Jiji Line, attracting many travelers on weekends. Next to the station, there is a bike rental station, and enjoying the railway scenery along the cycling path is the main feature of this place. Along Ershui Old Street, there are buildings that blend the old and the new, allowing visitors to ride their bicycles and immerse themselves in the rural pastoral landscape.
Ershui Old Street + Hsieh Tung-min's Residence│
Ershui Old Street features a train station building from the Japanese colonial Showa era, Baroque-style western buildings, and the local delicacy of burnt noodles. Tucked away in a small alley is Hsieh Tung-min's Residence, the first Taiwanese Vice President who made significant contributions to Taiwan's reforms. The residence is plain and unadorned, reflecting his modest lifestyle.
Erbaduo Water Park│
Combining an activity plaza and a parent-child play area, it has become a new leisure and tourism destination. The highlight of the park is especially the two steam locomotives, namely the Taiwan Railways CT278 and the Taiwan Sugar Corporation 345, the former purchased from Japan in 1953 through US aid, and is the last steam locomotive purchased in Taiwan.
