Anshan Village Peace Pagoda Introduction
According to legend, there was once a highly skilled individual in Anshan Village. After this esteemed man, regarded by villagers as a remarkable figure, passed away, residents washed his internal organs by the river but accidentally left behind his liver and intestines, which then transformed into a turtle and a snake that caused trouble in the village. Unable to bear the disturbances, the residents sought help from the deity of the Anshan North Polar Hall, who used a precious sword to subdue the troublesome turtle and snake, imprisoning them within a pagoda. The sword, turtle, and snake became the three treasures within the stone pagoda. The Peace Pagoda has since become a symbol of Anshan, also serving the function of ensuring the safe passage of vessels. Source: Oral account from local elders of Anshan Village.
