Anshan Village Ping'an Pagoda Introduction
Appearance of Shigandang: Tower type with a total height of 5.93 meters and a circumference of 13.88 meters. Structure: Conical shape. Top decoration: Gourd. According to legend, there was once a person with profound powers in Anshan Village. After this highly regarded master passed away, the residents cleaned his internal organs by the river but accidentally left behind his liver and intestines, which transformed into a turtle and a snake causing trouble in the village. Unable to bear the disturbances, the residents sought help from the deity at the Anshan Beiji Temple, who used a magic sword to subdue the troublesome turtle and snake within the tower. His sword, the turtle, and the snake became the three treasures within the stone tower. The Peace Tower has also become a landmark in Anshan today, serving to bless the safe passage of boats.
