Penghu Visitor Center Introduction
Penghu Visitor Center is located in Magong City and offers tourism consultation services, as well as guided tours in its exhibition area featuring a variety of displays, such as columnar basalt and models of the Penghu King Boat, among others. Before traveling, you can visit this center to learn about the history and culture of Penghu through these exhibits. After gathering a wealth of travel information, don't miss the opportunity to take a stroll in the nearby Penghu Recreation Park, which covers an area of 140 hectares and includes a forest conservation area, a water source conservation area, a vegetable garden nursery area, and a flower sea landscape area. The flower sea landscape area features a variety of ornamental flowers and plants, such as petunias, lavender, and cosmos, planted annually according to different themes and seasons for public enjoyment. However, due to the strong northeast monsoon in Penghu, the environment is harsh for plant survival, making the beautiful flower sea a product of much effort and experimentation by professionals to cultivate successfully! Within the expansive park, visitors can walk along numerous tree-lined paths, including the Banyan Garden Boardwalk and the Yingcui Trail. If you venture to Tianren Lake near the flower sea area, you can also find the artificial scenery of "Little Double Heart Stone Weir," allowing you to enjoy the unique landscapes of Penghu without traveling to Qimei! The park is home to Penghu's first outdoor classroom for soil and water conservation, established in 1996, which includes a water collection system area, a soil erosion simulation area, and a cactus and succulent garden, providing environmental education opportunities for visitors to understand Penghu's unique topographical and ecological environment better. The center provides exhibits showcasing the tourism resources of Penghu, as well as consultation services. Multimedia presentations are held at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM. Accessibility services include: 1.
