Penghu Visitor Center Introduction
The Penghu Visitor Center is located in Magong City, offering travel consultation services and guided tours of exhibition areas with a wealth of displays, such as columnar basalt and models of the Penghu King Boat. Before embarking on your journey, you can visit here to learn about Penghu’s history and culture. After gathering ample travel information, you might take a walk in the Penghu Rest Area next to the Visitor Center, which spans an impressive 140 hectares and includes forest conservation areas, water resource conservation areas, vegetable and seedling areas, and floral landscape areas. The floral landscape area grows various ornamental flowers such as petunias, lavender, and cosmos each year, following different themes and seasons for public enjoyment. However, due to the strong northeastern monsoon in Penghu, the environment is harsh for plant growth, making the beautiful flower fields a result of strenuous efforts and trials by professionals. Within the vast park, there are multiple shaded walking paths, such as the Banyan Garden Wooden Path and the Yincui Path. If you stroll near the flower area by Tianren Lake, you can also see the artificial scenery of "Little Double Heart Stone Weir," allowing you to appreciate the unique landscapes of Penghu without going to Qimei! The park also hosts the first outdoor soil and water conservation classroom established in Penghu in 1996, with nearby facilities for water collection systems, soil erosion simulation areas, and a cactus and succulent garden, providing environmental education functions and allowing you to further understand Penghu's unique terrain and ecological environment. It provides display explanations of Penghu's tourist resources and travel consulting services. Multimedia presentation times: 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM. Barrier-free services: 1.
