Anzhai Village · Yuzijian Tower Introduction
The appearance of Shigandang: Tower-shaped, total height: 4.16 m, circumference: 19.28 m, construction type: conical shape, decorative top: gourd. Anping Sea area is a popular spot for intertidal activities and rock fishing, and it is also a must-pass point for traveling from Magong to Baisha and Xiyu. The main faith center is the Zhou Wang Temple. In the early days, the land in Penghu was barren, and the ancestors would bring sea sand to enrich the soil for better crop growth. They built a stone tower in the sandy area commonly known as "Yuzijiao" to identify the changing tides, making it easier to collect sand from the sea. For many years, it has protected the residents and stood firm. According to legend, if stones fall from the tower, it indicates that someone in the village has passed away, which is an ominous sign.
