Anzhai Village Yujin Lantern Tower Introduction

Anping Sea Area is a popular spot for intertidal activities and shore fishing, and it is also a must-pass place from Magong to Baisha and Xiyu. The Zhou Wang Temple serves as the main religious center. In the early days, the land in Penghu was barren, and ancestors carried sea sand to fertilize the soil for better crop growth. They built a stone tower on sandy land, commonly known as Yuzi Jiao, to identify high and low tides for easier sand collection. For many years, it has protected residents and stood firm. It is said that if stones fall from the tower, it signifies that someone in the village has passed away, which is considered an ominous sign.
