Anzhai Li Yuzi Point Lighthouse Introduction
Anzhai Sea Area is a popular spot for intertidal activities and rock fishing, and it is also a must-pass area for traveling from Magong to Bai Sha and Xiyu. The main center of faith here is the Zhou Wang Temple. In the early days, the land in Penghu was poor; the ancestors used to carry sea sand to enrich the soil for better crop growth. They built a stone tower on the sandy land, commonly referred to as Yuzijiao, to identify the rise and fall of the seawater, making it easier to collect sand. For many years, this tower has protected the residents and stood firm. According to the legend, if stones fall from the tower, it signifies that someone in the village has passed away, which is considered an ominous sign. To reinforce the stone tower, it was filled with cement under the guidance of the Zhou Wang God around the 62nd year of the Republic of China.
