The Zhou Wang Temple serves as the main center of belief. In the early days, the land in Penghu was barren, and the ancestors would carry sea sand to use as fertilizer for the soil, allowing crops to grow successfully. They built stone towers in the sandy area known as Yuzi Jiao to identify the rise and fall of the sea, making it easier to collect sand from the sea. Over the years, it has protected the residents and has stood strong. There is a legend that if a stone falls from the tower, it indicates that someone in the village has passed away, which is an ominous sign. To reinforce the stone tower, it was filled with cement around the year 1973 under the instruction of Zhou Wang Ye. Source: Oral history from local elders of An Tai Village.
