Ruisui Rafting Service Center Introduction
The Xiuguluan River Visitor Center is currently undergoing reconstruction. The once-magnificent chief totem column landmark has suffered from earthquake cracks for years and has been dismantled. When it comes to water activities in the Hualien and Taitung regions, the most renowned and thrilling option is undoubtedly "Xiuguluan River Rafting." Since the 1980s, the Xiuguluan River has become the top choice for rafting activities in Taiwan. During the peak summer rafting season, the 24-kilometer rafting stretch from Ruisui Bridge to Changhong Bridge is filled with vibrant red inflatable rafts, making the river appear stunningly beautiful. With over 20 rapids of varying difficulty, visitors are guaranteed an unforgettable experience filled with thrills and excitement. The natural scenery along the Xiuguluan River, including canyons and unique rock formations, leaves a lasting impression on rafting enthusiasts. On the winding Ruitai Highway alongside the river, countless vans shuttle back and forth between the two locations to transport guests. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has established the Ruisui Rafting Service Center along the Xiuguluan River, south of Ruisui Bridge. This service center, designed to resemble traditional indigenous architecture, not only introduces the ecological resources of the Xiuguluan River rafting section and provides rafting-related information to visitors but also screens safety videos and features a camping area. During the rafting season, it offers the most comprehensive services for visitors.
