Xiuquwan River Introduction
The Xiu Gu Luan River, approximately 104 kilometers long, originates from the Central Mountain Range and is the largest river in eastern Taiwan. It flows through the Coastal Mountain Range and empties into the sea. Over the years, the river has carved steep canyons, creating various landforms such as meanders and river terraces. The sedimentary rocks on both sides of the mountains have formed a diverse landscape, with a group of giant boulders known as "Emperor Stones," which are pure white and patterned like a painting, referred to as "Xiu Gu Shu Yu."
