Tudi Gong Temple Introduction
Fude Temple is the religious center of the Dingbenzi settlement, nicknamed as "the dumbest Land God Temple in Taiwan" due to the locality. There are no statues in the temple, only a stone tablet inscribed with "Fude Zhengshen," indicating its ancient history. The temple features a Chaozhou-style octagonal pillar and a "Hua Tai" (representing birthing and nurturing) shaped like a traditional throne at the back, revealing the Hakka heritage of the ancestors. Although small, the temple is constructed from six large stones intricately carved and assembled, with its rainwater well being a classic example of Land God Temples. The stone-built Land God Temple serves as a testament to Dingbenzi's reputation as the "Stone Settlement."
