Fenrui Ancient Trail Introduction
【Renovation completed, re-opened!】For the actual opening hours, please refer to the Taiwan Forest Recreation website. The views here are expansive, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful mountains of the Rui-Fen area and the mountain villages of Rui-Li and Rui-Feng. It is also an excellent spot for watching the sunset. Proceeding towards Rui-Li from the Yin-Yang Temple ruins, you can look out over the scenery of Ta Mountain, Little Ta Mountain, Da Dong Mountain, and Shibi Mountain after passing several open areas. At the 3.3K point, you reach the fork between the Fen-Rui Ancient Path and the Changshan Ancient Path. Taking the right path on the Changshan Ancient Path leads to Tai-He, but it is currently closed for repairs due to damage from Typhoon Morakot. The left path leads to the intersection with the Rui-Tai Ancient Path, where you will walk through a path amidst Taiwania trees and Moso bamboo, and see a giant Cinnamomum kanehirae. Following the ridge line down to the 5K point, you will find a large area of Moso bamboo, and after descending a steep slope, you will reach the endpoint at Rui-Li. *Please be cautious of locusts in some sections.
