Fenrui Old Trail Introduction
【Renovation Completed, Reopened!】Please refer to the Taiwan Forest Recreation website for actual opening times. The views here are expansive, allowing for distant gazes at the beautiful mountains of the Ruifeng area as well as the mountain villages of Ruili and Ruifeng. It is also an excellent spot for watching the sunset. From the site of the Yin Yang Temple ruins, head towards Ruili, passing through several open areas where you can admire Ta Mountain, Little Ta Mountain, Dadong Mountain, and Shibi Mountain. At the 3.3K mark is the junction of the Fenrui Ancient Trail and the Changshan Ancient Trail. The right path on the Changshan Ancient Trail leads to Taihe, but it is currently closed for repairs due to damage from Typhoon Morakot. The left path leads to the intersection with the Ruitai Ancient Trail, traversing a path through the Taiwania and Moso bamboo forests, where there is a giant camphor tree. Following the ridge line down to the 5K mark, you will encounter a large area of Moso bamboo forest, and after a steep descent, you will reach the endpoint at Ruili. *Please be cautious as there are locusts in some sections.
