Taiwan Chamaecyparis obtusa Mother Tree Forest Introduction
The entrance to the Sho-nan Mother Tree Forest Trail is located near the old street of Fenqihu, where visitors can plan a day trip to Fenqihu or an in-depth ecological excursion, incorporating the charm of the old street, local cuisine, and historical sites. Fireflies can often be seen from late spring to early summer (around April to June) and during the autumn and winter months (around November to December), adding a delightful natural surprise to the forest trail. This lush area of pure Sho-nan Mother Trees was planted during the Japanese colonial period.
