The sunrise at Alishan is famous both domestically and internationally, and in the past, one had to trek a long distance to Zhushan to enjoy the sunrise. In fact, the viewing platform at Xiangding Trail offers a spectacular and vast view that is on par with Zhushan, but with only half the ascent, as the relative position of the sunrise is quite similar, and the sunrise time is only a few seconds later than Zhushan. For those who do not wish to take a long journey, the Xiangding Trail is actually a great choice. The Xiangding Trail is approximately 700 meters long, with a round trip taking about 40 minutes. The trail's ecosystem is primarily composed of Moso bamboo forests, and the sounds of birds and cicadas welcome visitors along the path.
