Yonglong Trail Introduction
Xiangding Trail is located in Koutian Village, Fanlu Township, at the 57.5K mark of Taiwan Route 18, next to Meiyuan Building. Known for its breathtaking sunrises, Ali Mountain used to require a long trek to Zhushan for sunrise viewing. In fact, the sunrise platform at Xiangding Trail offers a spectacular and expansive view that rivals that of Zhushan, with only half the uphill distance to climb, as the relative position of the sunrise is quite similar. The sunrise time is only a few seconds later than that at Zhushan. For those who prefer not to walk too far, Xiangding Trail is a great option. This leisure trail is about 700 meters long, with a round trip taking approximately 40 minutes. The trail's ecosystem is dominated by Moso bamboo forests, and the sounds of birds and cicadas welcome visitors. Along the way, there are three wooden pavilions, which serve as comfortable viewing platforms. The pavilion near the entrance offers the highest viewpoint, with a wide perspective of the surrounding mountains, making it an excellent spot for sunrise viewing and cloud appreciation. It is also a perfect choice for couples to enjoy a leisurely stroll or for families to spend quality time together.
