Shihpan Valley Cliff Art Forest Introduction
The Shipan Valley Cliff Art Forest is located next to the Shipan Valley Waterfall along the upstream of the QianKeng River, featuring a natural rock face steep slope. It is as large as a football field, and there are ropes installed at the top of the slope for visitors to pull themselves up. Many smooth-trunked trees of the species "Mèyù" thrive above this large rock slope. The villagers have named these trees based on their shapes, such as Grasshopper and Centipede, Giant Crab Tree, Spider King, Deer Antler, and more. The entire area is also referred to as the "Mèyù Art Forest." Additionally, the forest on the rock face contains a few other types of trees, with one particularly favored tree being an enormous beech with intricate roots, known as the "Centennial Beech." There is a hiking route that leads to the Chianan Yunfeng Triangulation Point, taking about an hour and a half, and then proceeding to Caoling.
