Located upstream of QianKeng Creek, next to Shipan Valley Waterfall, "Big Cliff" is a spectacular natural rock face slope. Its massive scale is comparable to that of a football field, and above the steep rock slope, auxiliary ropes are set up for travelers to follow, allowing them to experience the thrill of climbing the rock face. On this rocky slope, groups of smooth-trunked Schefflera trees grow. The villagers have used their imagination to vividly name these trees based on their various forms: Grasshopper and Centipede, Giant Crab Tree, Spider King, and Antler Fork, giving the entire forest the beautiful title of "Schefflera Art Forest." In addition to the oddly shaped Schefflera, several ancient trees also stand among them, with one massive beech tree, known for its intricate roots, being the most favored by travelers and affectionately called the "Centennial Giant Beech." The hiking trails connecting from this location lead to the Jianshan Cloud Peak Triangle Point (approximately 1.5 hours of walking) and can further connect to the Caoling area, making it an excellent route for mountain climbing and adventure enthusiasts.

Shihpan Valley Cliff Art Forest Introduction

Located upstream of QianKeng Creek and next to Shipan Valley Waterfall, the "Great Cliff" is a spectacular natural rocky slope. It is massive in scale, roughly the size of a football field, and features auxiliary ropes at the top of the steep rock face, allowing travelers to experience the thrill of climbing the cliff. On this rocky slope grows a cluster of smooth-trunked Machilus tree. The villagers have used their imagination to vividly name the various tree shapes of Machilus, such as grasshopper and centipede, giant crab wood, spider king, and stag horn fork, earning the entire forest the beautiful title of "Machilus Art Forest." Among the uniquely shaped Machilus trees, there are also a few sturdy ancient trees, with a giant beech tree with twisted roots being the favorite of travelers, revered as the "Centenary Giant Beech." The mountain trail that connects from here leads to the Chianan Yunfeng Triangulation Point (about a 1.5-hour hike) and can further connect to the Caoling area, making it an excellent route for mountain climbing enthusiasts.
