Dinghu Trail Introduction
Dinghu is located by the Shizhu River and is one of the key ecological tourism spots planned by the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration in recent years. The Dinghu Lakeside Trail features a bamboo forest trail, a natural primitive forest boardwalk, and trace fossils, making it suitable for 1 to 2 hours of hiking and strolling. From the vicinity of 66K on Provincial Highway 18, turn left about 100 meters in front of the Mi Hu Trail and continue uphill for about 4 kilometers to reach Dinghu. The view opens up before you, where you can often see local farmers working in the tea fields, with mountain mists weaving through the layers of hills. Within the park, you can stroll along the trails to the pavilion and the bamboo forest. There is also an original forest boardwalk leading to Dado Mountain. In front of the pavilion, there is a large rock known locally as Guanyin Stone, which features traces of fossils on its surface.
