Nanheng Tianchi Introduction
Nanheng Tianchi is located about 135 kilometers along the Nanheng Highway in the Taoyuan District. At an elevation of 2,200 meters, Tianchi is situated behind the Changqing Shrine. It never dries up and is approximately 2 meters deep, making it a high-altitude lake. Due to its heart-shaped appearance, it is commonly referred to as Heart Lake and is also known as the Heart of the Mountains. Because of its high altitude, it is often surrounded by clouds and mist, resembling a pool in the sky. The water in the lake never dries up and is clear and green. Looking down from the slopes covered with arrow bamboo, it resembles a bright mirror, reflecting the lush mountain scenery into the lake.
