Southern Cross Sky Pond Introduction
Nanheng Tianchi is located about 135 kilometers along Nanheng Highway in Taoyuan District, at an altitude of 2,200 meters. The lake is situated behind Changqing Shrine and never dries up, reaching a depth of about 2 meters. It is a high-altitude alpine lake, known for its heart-shaped appearance, often referred to as "Heart Lake" or "Heart of the Mountains." Due to its high elevation, it is often shrouded in mist, resembling a lake in the heavens. The water remains clear and green throughout the year, reflecting the lush mountain scenery like a brilliant mirror when viewed from the grassy slopes of arrow bamboo. A recommended stay duration is about 3 hours. Currently, some sections of the road are restricted, and entrants must leave the restricted area before 3 PM.
