Taoyuan Valley Introduction
The expansive grassland stretches for three kilometers, resembling a paradise, akin to a fairyland where one can forget the hustle and bustle of life while enjoying the breathtaking views. The lush green Taoyuan Valley, formerly known as Kuan Niu Tsai Mountain, was once a place for children to herd and play during farming off-seasons. Today, it is one of the most beloved hiking routes, famous for its three kilometers of gently sloping green grass resembling a meticulously woven green carpet by nature. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, looking east towards the Pacific Ocean and north towards Longdong Cape. In autumn and winter, the strong monsoon brings clouds that embellish the valley, while the white grasslands transform the mountain and sea breezes into waves, creating a refreshing and picturesque pastoral landscape. Taoyuan Valley, as the name suggests, is the source of the Taohuawang for Wuling people, offering a serene and tranquil escape from the world, complemented by a few households where the smoke from cooking rises and the sounds of chickens and dogs can be heard. Travelers hiking in this idyllic valley will undoubtedly leave with lasting impressions. Starting from the Renze Community, one ascends via the traditional route to Taoyuan Valley, which includes a steep incline that twists and turns, leading to a sudden opening where distant views and close nature reveal themselves, allowing for a moment of clarity. The journey continues to the wild and expansive grassland, where friends and family can sit around and chat or lie comfortably in a star shape, gazing at the blue sky while enjoying the mountain breeze mixed with the sea breeze. Standing at the highest point, Lan Yang Plain and Guishan Island lie beneath, with mountains and seas intertwined, and human presence is minimal, truly making it a paradise.
