Honeymoon Bay Introduction
Daxi is famous for its crescent-shaped bay with blue and clear seawater, and it is often frequented by couples, earning it the nickname "Honeymoon Bay." Visitors can either stroll along the soft sandy beach, collect pebbles to skip on the water, or search for the numerous running devil crabs, creating a romantic atmosphere. Rocky reefs are distributed on both the northern and southern sides of Honeymoon Bay, with only a small portion in the middle featuring fine soft sand. Besides its beautiful scenery, which allows for enjoyment in the water while taking in the view, the bay is vast, and the underwater terrain fluctuates significantly hundreds of meters from the shore, resulting in waves that often rise 2 to 3 meters high, making it a haven for water sports and surfing. Each year, many extreme challengers come here to participate in national surfing competitions. A 30-minute walk from the trailhead next to Ming Mountain Temple leads to a nearby peak, Ying Shijian, which stands 441 meters high. From the top, visitors can gaze into the distance at Turtle Island and overlook the magnificent bay, making it another option for stunning views.
