Yuanwang Keng Water Park Introduction
Caoling Historic Trail is one of the most renowned hiking trails in the northern region of Taiwan. The northern entrance is located in the Yuanshan area of Gongliao District. Surrounded by mountains in a tranquil valley, visitors can stroll along the trail amidst the original terraced fields and stream valleys, only hearing the harmonious sounds of birdsong and the gentle flow of water. During the late summer and early autumn, the fragrant wild ginger flowers bloom, making it feel like a paradise on earth. At the entrance of Gongliao District, there is a small yet richly landscaped park called Yuanshankeng Riverside Park. Visitors can overlook the quaint terraced fields and the ecological ponds; continuing along the stone path by the stream leads to a serene pond featuring a small arched bridge and a double pavilions. Crossing the bridge onto the viewing platform offers a view of the crystal-clear stream, where groups of Taiwanese rockfish and Bitterling fish swim together in spectacle. This tranquil valley landscape is an excellent destination for eco-tourism.
