Taichung City Library Waipu Branch Introduction
The Waipu Branch stands on Section 3, Jiahou Road, characterized by its white main structure with a vertically segmented design. The facade, featuring a neat row of windows, has earned it the nickname "Little White House." It resembles a set of well-placed books on a shelf, waiting for the public to appreciate and browse. The exterior architecture of the Waipu Branch employs a vertically segmented design that echoes the pastoral impression of Waipu, with large glass curtain walls incorporating the vast greenery and the distant views of Flame Mountain and Anvil Mountain, allowing visitors to fully experience the leisurely connection with the mountains. The first floor's senior-friendly area is specially arranged with sofas, reading tables, and appropriately sized bookshelves to create a cozy living room atmosphere for the elderly to read comfortably. The children's reading area uses creative design and vibrant colors to construct a joyful reading environment. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall to the second and third floors, minimalist wooden furniture combined with a floor-to-ceiling window showcasing distant mountain scenery provides a sense of happiness in reading, immersed in both literature and nature.
