Taichung City Library Waipu Branch Introduction
The Wai Pu Branch Library stands on Section 3 of Jiahou Road. Its white main building features a vertically segmented design, and the facade with its row of windows is simple and neat, earning it the nickname "Little White House." It resembles a collection of well-placed books on a shelf, waiting for the public to appreciate and browse. The exterior architecture of the Wai Pu Branch is designed with vertical segmentation to echo the pastoral impression of Wai Pu, with large glass curtain walls incorporating vast greenery and distant views of Huo Lang Mountain and Tie Zhen Mountain, allowing visitors to fully experience the leisure of reading amidst the mountains. The first floor features a senior-friendly area with specially arranged sofas, reading tables, and appropriately-heighted bookshelves, creating a homey living room atmosphere for elderly visitors to read comfortably; the children's reading area employs creative ideas and color blocks to create a joyful space for reading. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall to the second and third floors, minimalist wooden furniture paired with large windows showcasing distant mountain views makes reading a pleasurable experience here.
