Taichung City Library Wufeng Branch Introduction
The Waipu Branch stands on Section 3 of Jiahou Road, featuring a white main building with a vertically split design. The facade's straightforward row of windows has earned it the nickname "Little White House." It resembles well-arranged books on a shelf, waiting for the public to appreciate and flip through. The exterior of the Waipu Branch uses a vertical split design that echoes the pastoral impression of Waipu, with large glass curtains bringing in the expansive greenery, along with views of Mount Huolou and Mount Tiezhanshan, allowing visitors to fully experience a leisurely reading time accompanied by the mountains. The elderly section on the first floor is specially arranged with sofas, long reading tables, and appropriately heighted bookshelves to create a living room atmosphere, ensuring a comfortable reading experience for seniors. The children's reading area employs creative design and color blocks to establish a joyful reading space. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall, the second and third floors feature simple wooden furniture complemented by large windows offering distant mountain views, making it a place where one can read and enjoy the scenery, resulting in an inherent sense of happiness in reading.
