Taichung City Library Waipu Branch Introduction
The Waipu Branch stands on Section 3 of Jiahou Road, featuring a white building with a vertically segmented design. Its façade, characterized by a series of clean and orderly windows, has earned it the nickname "Little White House." It resembles a shelf lined with well-placed books, waiting for visitors to admire and flip through. The exterior design of the Waipu Branch echoes the pastoral impression of Waipu with its staggered vertical segments, and large glass facades incorporate expansive green scenery along with views of Fire Mountain and Iron Anvil Mountain, allowing visitors to experience a leisurely reading atmosphere in harmony with nature. The first floor of the library boasts a senior-friendly area that is specially arranged with sofas, long reading tables, and appropriately elevated bookshelves, creating a welcoming living room vibe for older adults to read comfortably. The children's reading area employs clever designs and colorful blocks to create a joyful reading space. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall to the second and third floors, visitors are greeted with minimalist wooden furniture paired with large windows showcasing distant mountain views, making reading here a blissful experience connected to nature.
