Taichung City Library Waipu Branch Introduction
The Waipu Branch is located on Section 3 of Jiahou Road, with its white main building featuring a vertically segmented design. The facade, adorned with a neat row of windows, has earned it the nickname "Little White House." It resembles well-placed books on a shelf, waiting for the public to admire and browse through. The exterior architecture of the Waipu Branch echoes the rural impression of Waipu with its staggered vertical design, while large glass curtain walls incorporate the expansive greenery along with the distant Flaming Mountain and Anvil Mountain, allowing the public to fully experience a leisurely reading environment accompanied by the mountains. The first floor's senior area is specially furnished with sofas, reading tables, and appropriately sized bookshelves to create a cozy living room atmosphere, enabling seniors to read comfortably. The children's reading area employs clever design and colorful blocks to create a joyful reading space. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall, the second and third floors feature minimalistic wooden furniture paired with large windows that showcase distant mountain views, making reading a pleasurable experience enhanced by the surrounding landscape.
