Taichung City Library Waipu Branch Introduction
The Waipu Branch stands on Section 3 of Jiahou Road, with a white main structure characterized by a vertically segmented design. The facade's streamlined windows earn it the nickname "Little White Palace." It resembles well-placed books on a shelf, waiting for the public to appreciate and browse. The exterior design of the Waipu Branch echoes the pastoral impressions of Waipu with its vertical and staggered segments, while large glass facades incorporate the expansive green scenery, along with the distant Flaming Mountains and Iron Anvil Mountain, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the leisurely experience of reading accompanied by the mountains. The first-floor senior area is specially decorated with sofas, communal reading tables, and appropriately high bookshelves to create a living room atmosphere, ensuring that older adults can read comfortably and freely. The children's reading area uses clever designs and color blocks to create a joyful reading space. Ascending the spiral staircase along the book wall leads to the second and third floors, where minimalist wooden furniture combined with large windows featuring distant mountain views evoke a sense of happiness in reading.
