TaipeiEYE Introduction
TaipeiEYE – A cultural window showcasing traditional performing arts in Taiwan, providing a sustainable platform for authentic Chinese traditional arts. It encompasses a wide range of performances including Peking opera, glove puppetry, folk arts, and indigenous music and dance, featuring prominent local performing groups like the Taipei New Theater. In addition to theatrical performances, there are makeup, costume, and music displays that offer audiences an immersive experience in traditional cultural ambiance. During significant festivals (Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival), there are special interactive exhibitions of folk arts. Performances include subtitles in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean, and front-of-house staff are proficient in these languages to provide excellent service. Over the years, it has become a major tourist attraction in Taiwan and the best ambassador for the cultural image of Taipei City.
