TaipeiEYE Introduction
TaipeiEYE is a cultural and tourism traditional performing arts theater that serves as a cultural showcase, sustainably operating Chinese traditional performing arts in Taiwan. It features a wide range of traditional Chinese arts including Beijing opera, puppetry, folk arts, and indigenous music and dance, performed by excellent local troupes such as the Taipei New Theater Company. In addition to stage performances, there are also "behind-the-scenes" segments showcasing makeup, costumes, and music, allowing the audience to not only watch the show but also experience the traditional cultural atmosphere. During major festivals (Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival), there are special interactive displays and folk arts. Performances include subtitles in Mandarin, English, Japanese, and Korean, with helpful staff fluent in various languages. Over the years, it has become a must-visit destination in Taiwan and a prime representation of Taipei's cultural image.
