TaipeiEYE Introduction
TaipeiEYE - A cultural window that opens your eyes to traditional performing arts in Taiwan, sustainably showcasing formal Chinese traditional performing arts. It features a wide range of Chinese traditional arts, including Peking opera, glove puppetry, folk arts, and indigenous songs and dances, performed by outstanding local troupes such as the Taipei New Theatre. In addition to stage performances, there are also "behind-the-scenes" demonstrations of makeup, costumes, and music, allowing the audience to not only watch the show but also experience the traditional cultural atmosphere. During major festivals (Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival), interactive folk art activities and displays are specially added. Performances are accompanied by subtitles in Mandarin, English, Japanese, and Korean, with front-of-house staff proficient in these languages offering attentive service. Over the years, it has become a popular tourist attraction and a prime representative of Taipei's cultural image.
