Taiwan New Cultural Movement Memorial Museum Introduction
Dadaocheng is a major birthplace of modern thought in Taiwan. The righteous people of Dadaocheng showcased a broad worldview and a profound literacy in new culture. Under the high pressure of Japanese colonial rule, they still planted the seeds of new culture, which blossomed into a resilient new cultural flower. The Taiwan New Cultural Movement Memorial Museum will recreate the outstanding historical glory of Dadaocheng, recalling the fearless pioneers of new culture. In addition to actively collecting and exhibiting historical materials of the New Cultural Movement, it will continue to integrate and revitalize various precious cultural assets related to Dadaocheng. It will research important historical figures' activity sites and residences, linking them into a cultural history trail and creating the "Dadaocheng Historical and Cultural Center," transforming Dadaocheng into an open ecological museum of cultural history. In the future, one will be able to hear historians recount the moving historical deeds of the righteous and cultured individuals from the age of awareness on the streets of Dadaocheng. Visitors can also recreate the historical atmosphere of the time in the museum, savor contemporary new literature in different exhibition halls, listen to contemporary new ballads, watch contemporary new plays, and appreciate contemporary new art.
