Xikou Township Cultural Life Hall Introduction
A brand new cultural center Before the establishment of the Xikou Township Cultural and Community Center, the most familiar public buildings in Xikou Township, Chiayi County, were the township office and the elementary and middle schools that residents had attended. These buildings serve the purpose of providing services to the residents, but it is not common to say that we can or would like to casually visit the township office. Such public buildings meet practical business needs, while the cultural center serves as a spiritual refuge. In this culturally rich agricultural town, the Xikou Township Library is an important source of culture, but it has faced challenges due to limited space, prompting discussions on renovations. With a shift in thinking from the library's functionality, the aim is to provide diverse and multifaceted cultural possibilities. Located next to Xikou Elementary School, the Xikou Township Cultural and Community Center began construction in 2005 and was completed on December 28, 2007, becoming the new gem of Xikou Township.
