Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden Introduction
Wufeng Lin Family Mansion, the family is renowned in Taiwan's history and is listed among the five major families. They originated in Wufeng, Taichung (formerly known as Azhāo Wù), with ancestors from Pinghe County, Zhangzhou, Fujian, who crossed the sea to Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong period. By assisting in pacifying the Taiping Rebellion, the Dajiaochun Incident, and the Sino-French War, they not only earned the honorary title of "Prince-Protector" but also gained control over the vital rights to camphor monopoly and military power, becoming one of the most influential gentry families in Qing Dynasty Taiwan.
