The dumplings in the shape of yuanbao (gold ingots) are small and cute. The outer skin is made from glutinous rice and sweet potato starch. In addition to pork, the filling also includes fresh diced bamboo shoots. The thick skin of the dumplings has a chewy texture, while the marinated meat sauce is rich in five-spice flavor, which is the unique taste of Beidou's dumplings. There are more than ten famous dumpling shops in Beidou Township, each with its own characteristics. Among them, Dumpling Yi has been passed down to the third generation.
